While Jian Qi looked at the three sets of pork knuckles in front of her, she could not help but burp like she was already full.
Why did she not say she dreamed of chicken feet? Three chicken feet would have been much easier to stomach.
After some thought, Jian Qi felt that she was being overly optimistic.
If she had mentioned chicken feet, and based on how perverse Tang Jinyu was, he would have ordered an entire chicken for her.
When Tang Jinyu leaned back against the chair with his arms crossed in front of his chest, he looked indescribably noble and graceful.
“Didn’t you say you were hungry? Didn’t you want to eat pork knuckles? Go ahead and dig in. If this isn’t enough, we can order more later!”
Jian Qi’s mouth twitched several times as she wondered how she would be able to eat all that food.
As she looked away, Jian Qi raised her hand and pushed a set of pork knuckles close to Tang Jinyu. “Sharing is caring. Little Tang Tang, please have some too!”
Tang Jinyu looked at her without moving. “Sure. You’ll have to finish the remaining two sets!”
“I think we should bring those back for Lightning and the others. Everyone will eat together.” Jian Qi smiled.
When Tang Jinyu saw how Jian Qi was coming up with excuses not to eat, he smiled slightly. “Don’t worry. I’ll get the waiter to pack some for them later.” He had a sinister look on his face.
Jian Qi remained silent.
“Little Tang Tang, did you bring enough cash?” This was Jian Qi’s final attempt at struggling to come up with excuses.
Tang Jinyu looked at her coldly with a smile on his face. “I can still afford to pay for a few pork knuckles,” he said slowly.
Jian Qi chuckled. ‘So what if you’re rich? You would only spend it on pork knuckles!’
With her gaze shifting down to the pork knuckles in front of her, Jian Qi picked one up with her hands and began digging in.
When Tang Jinyu saw how depressed she seemed, a smirk appeared on his face. As he looked down, his gaze landed upon the bite mark on the back of his hand. He could not help but sigh.
Why was she so annoying?
With his hand lifted, Tang Jinyu gently touched the bite mark on the back of his right hand. His slightly lowered gaze made it impossible for anyone to catch sight of the glimmer in his eyes as they were blocked by his eyelashes.
Meanwhile, Jian Qi had a disgusted expression on her face as she bit down on the pork knuckle.
Although it had a bearable taste, she found it to be extremely oily.
When she was done eating one of the pork knuckles, she felt slightly panicked by the amount of grease she was consuming.
“There’s one more,” Tang Jinyu said leisurely as he calmly reminded her.
Jian Qi burped while she looked at him. “Little Tang Tang, are you trying to kill me by making me overeat?”
“Why would that happen? You were so terribly hungry. If people found out that I refused to let you eat, wouldn’t they say that I was torturing my own soldiers?” Tang Jinyu smiled. “Have some more. If that’s not enough, I’ll order more for you. Eat as much as you want!”
Jian Qi smiled as a sly look appeared on her face.
As she looked at Tang Jinyu with a pitiful gaze, she quickly reached her hands out to Tang Jinyu.
With one of her oily hands directly holding onto Tang Jinyu’s hand, she reached for his sleeve with her other hand.
Tang Jinyu frowned so hard that the veins on his forehead had become visible.
“Little Tang Tang, I really can’t eat anymore,” Jian Qi said as she rubbed her oily hand on his sleeve.
“Jian Qi, do you want to lose your hand?” Tang Jinyu asked through gritted teeth.
“What do you mean?” Jian Qi looked at him innocently.
Tang Jinyu extended one hand before grabbing her wrist and pulling it away. He kept his deadly stare on her while his chest seemed to be rising out of anger.
While trying hard not to hit her, Tang Jinyu began to speak in a deep voice. “Waiter, get the bill!”
“Little Tang Tang, I’m going to wash my hands. Wait for me!” Jian Qi said before taking off quickly.
‘D*mn it. I’m so full!’
Thereafter, the two hired a taxi to send them back to the military base from the bus station. On their way back, there was a part of the journey which restricted external vehicles from passing through. Therefore, the two had no choice but to get out of the car and to travel by foot.
“Why didn’t you get Lightning and the others to pick us up at the bus station by car?” Jian Qi tilted her head to look at Tang Jinyu.
“Didn’t you want to eat pork knuckles? Naturally, I had to make sure you were satisfied first!” Tang Jinyu said calmly.
Jian Qi. “…”
‘D*mn it. Is there no way to get out of this trap?’
