When the analysis of the A.I. Chip echoed in his mind, Vlad could not help but clench his fists. That power could enhance any form of attack and destroy the mind of a High Champion without a problem, but things were more complicated when it was directed at him.
A sharp light appeared in the young man’s eyes as he saw the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental charging the attack. Before he could even finish his thought, it blasted forward, forming a dark red lightning maelstrom that marched toward him with overwhelming destructive power.
Vlad showed no fear as he saw that maelstrom getting near, but his eyes widened as he saw a figure appear in front of him. The one that jumped before him was none other than Freya.
The young woman’s entire body was riddled with wounds, and she must have used all her strength to flash forward. She barely had a faint wisp of Force and totemic energy left in her body, but there was no fear in her eyes, only determination as she raised her shield, intending to protect Vlad from the lightning maelstrom with everything she had.
A sense of shock assaulted Vlad as he saw the young woman standing in front of him, her figure valiant and ready to take that attack from the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental. He froze for a second before a smile appeared on his face.
"You beautiful idiot!" Vlad shouted as he used his rage to give his body just enough strength to move forward, grab Freya’s armor with his left hand, and pull her behind him, before raising his right hand to take in all the power of the dark lightning maelstrom.
Freya was shocked to find herself thrust behind Vlad. She had focused all her energy on facing the incoming attack, so she could not prevent the young man from pushing her back.
After protecting the young woman, Vlad’s eyes burned with focus as he channeled the power of his Thunder Lord Bloodline, making sure his right hand acted as a lightning rod, channeling the entire power of the dark red lightning maelstrom into his body.
Freya’s eyes widened as she saw the whole lightning maelstrom flow through the young man’s body. In less than a second, she saw with terror how Vlad’s entire right arm was scorched by the power of the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental’s attack!
Just as fear was rising in Freya’s heart, and she was about to try and help Vlad, she saw with shock and confusion how a fierce smile appeared on the young man’s face. ’Has the will of the Abyss broken his mind?’
That was the first thought that crossed Freya’s mind as she could not see any other reason for Vlad to smile while his body was about to be incinerated under the power of the dark red lightning maelstrom. Yet, the next second, pure shock appeared on her face as she felt the vitality and energy of the young man rising!
"How is that possible!?" Freya could not help but exclaim in shock and awe as it did not make sense. She knew Vlad’s bloodline granted some resilience to lightning, but that was with energy at the Mortal Tier.
The attack of the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental carried energy force at the peak of the Champion Tier. And even if the lightning did not affect him by some miracle, the chaotic will and power of the Abyss in the Molten Demonblood Essence should corrupt the young man’s body and mind.
The truth was that the young woman had it backward. It was not the lightning that was helping Vlad, but the chaotic will and power of the Abyss. That type of energy was of a psychic nature, something a True Depravita used as food!

His right arm was charred and completely crippled, and there were burn wounds all over his body, covering nearly half of his skin. Yet, the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental saw a smile on his face and a bursting sense of strength emanating from every inch of his body.
