Once the Hippopotamus Monster’s steaks were finally cooked, Vlad immediately began distributing the meat, ensuring everyone received a generous piece.
Vlad had just placed a steak on Jormungandr’s plate when he heard a bark and saw the small white dog standing before him, demanding his share.
"Sorry, sorry. Oro, come here and stop bothering people."
Cazan immediately apologized. He had kept the small dog with him all the time to prevent any further trouble or unwanted incidents, such as the dog peeing on others.
However, before Cazan could lead Oro away, Vlad laughed, placed a steak of the Hippopotamus Monster’s meat on another plate, and handed it to the small white dog.
"Go and eat, little buddy."
Oro barked joyfully at Vlad before ravishing the meat on his plate. The scene of the small dog eating joyfully brought smiles to Vlad, Mirena, and Cazan’s faces, but one member was not as pleased.
"Hmph, look at him, no manners at all. Showing the elegance of a half-breed."
Jormungandr spoke with his head held high as he clumsily attempted to cut the steak with a fork and knife, mimicking human table manners.
A strange expression appeared on Cazan and Mirena’s faces as they were unsure how to react to those words. Even if they seemed like a joke, they did not dare to take the words of someone so powerful lightly. Luckily for them, laughter broke the tension the next second.
"Hahaha, what is wrong with a half-breed? They are much healthier and live longer lives. Not to mention that technically you are also a half-breed, Jormungandr. Actually, it would be more accurate to call you a mongrel."
Jormungandr froze as he heard those words, and the next second, he jumped toward Vlad and began scratching the young man.
"Who are you calling a mongrel? You are a mongrel. Your entire family are mongrels."
Vlad only smiled as he blocked the claw strikes. He was a Warrior, and even if Jormungandr had a body much more powerful than a normal Mage, he could not harm him, so he just let the small yellow cat release his anger.
After a few seconds of scratching, Jormungandr sneered at Vlad before taking his plate and jumping toward Mirena.
"You think I am an elegant and refined cat, right, lady?"
Mirena was a little perplexed, but as she saw the small and beautiful face of the yellow cat, she could not help but smile and start to pet him.
