Sheng Yang read the book for a while but couldn’t feel any “empathy” in regards to this book, so she simply put it down and quietly drank the milk tea.
Sheng Hanjing stared at her nervously. Fortunately, his sister didn’t pick up the book again.
At eight o’clock in the evening, Kang Weizhen made some nourishing sweet soup and prepared to bring it to her daughter’s room.
She knocked gently on the door.
“Please come in.” Sheng Yang’s voice came from inside.
Kang Weizhen held the tray and entered with a smile, but what she saw made her almost drop the tray in her hand.
Sheng Yang wasn’t reading a book as usual but was sitting in front of the computer with her cheek cupped in one hand while watching a movie lazily. Judging from her indifferent amber eyes, she didn’t seem to be interested in this movie.
The screen froze at the moment when the hero and heroine were about to kiss. Their faces were gradually approaching and the bullet subtitles almost blotted out the entire screen—
“Ohhhh myyy goddd…”
“Ahhhhhh!!!!”
“Pink heart, pink heart, pink heart.”
Sheng Yang was expressionless and couldn’t help but pick up a test paper and answer a question.
But this scene shocked Kang Weizhen. Wouldn’t children usually hide from their parents when they were watching kissing scenes?
But Yangyang wasn’t shy at all. Sheng Yang directly allowed her in without even turning off the screen.
So how should she react? All of a sudden, Kang Weizhen’s mind went blank, and in the end, she asked awkwardly, “Yangyang, do you like the movie?”
Sheng Yang said honestly, “No.”
It wasn’t even as fun as the test paper in her hand.
It was hard to produce empathy. Too hard!
She couldn’t feel what the heroine felt nor could she feel what the hero felt.
Kang Weizhen opened her mouth but didn’t know what to say. She could only quietly put down the tray and say, “Yangyang, remember to eat the dessert while it’s hot.”
“OK.”
As Kang Weizhen walked out, she did many double takes and looked at her daughter with worry. Yangyang said the movie wasn’t fun, but why was she still watching it?
On the screen, the hero and heroine were making out and kissing passionately while her Yangyang just took a sip of the sweet soup.
Kang Weizhen wondered:?Does Yangyang want to fall in love?
Kang Weizhen came out and ran into Sheng Hanjing who looked worried.
“Hanjing, what’s the matter?”
Sheng Hanjing originally didn’t want to tell his mother, but then he thought it might be easier for Mom to communicate with Yangyang, so he said, “Mom, I think Yangyang has been acting weird recently.”
“I think so, too.” The two immediately exchanged information. Their worries didn’t alleviate but actually doubled.
“Last time Yangyang cooked an entire table of dishes for Yi Juncheng! I think she’s fallen for that child. You know, the two spent a lot of time together in Bailuan Village before…” Kang Weizhen provided her analysis. “I think Yangyang is studying how to chase Juncheng.”
Sheng Hanjing felt a little uncomfortable.
My sister’s going to chase Yi Juncheng? Why? Don’t men chase women mostly?
Although men and women were equal, he didn’t want his sister to suffer any heartache.
His sister was so good, pretty, and cute. Why should she chase Yi Juncheng?
But if it was his sister’s decision, he wouldn’t interfere but would only support her silently even if he didn’t like it at all.
