In the blink of an eye, several old neighbors started bickering and arguing loudly.
Meanwhile, Ye Chen, who had sparked the conflict, stood by the yacht’s railing with Bai Xiyan in his arms.
In front of them, a deep-sea fishing rod was set up.
“Hubby, this looks so fun! I want to try it too. Can you teach me?”
Bai Xiyan’s voice was sweet as she tilted her head up, playfully nudging Ye Chen’s chin with her forehead.
Ye Chen wrapped an arm around her slender waist and chuckled. “Of course, no problem. Come here, I’ll show you.”
“If a fish bites, this signal will alert you. Then, all you have to do is press this button.”
“The rod will spring up and hook the fish firmly. After that, you can choose between manual and automatic modes.”
“Manual means turning this crank to slowly reel in the line. If the fish feels too heavy to pull, you can switch to automatic mode. The rod has a built-in motor to help you reel it in.”

No sooner had she spoken than the signal alarm ding-dinged.
Bai Xiyan let out an excited squeal and immediately pressed the button.

The fishing line gradually retracted, and a large fish with an elongated, needle-like snout and a dorsal fin wider than its body emerged from the water.
“Wow! Hubby, it’s so long!”
“What kind of fish is this? It looks so weird!”
“And its mouth is so pointy!”
Bai Xiyan kept gasping in amazement.
But Ye Chen recognized it immediately.
“Nice one, wifey! You actually caught a sailfish! These are tough to catch, and they’re big with high nutritional value.”
“Here, step back a bit. Its bill is sharp enough to impale a person.”
“I’ll switch to auto mode to pull it closer, then scoop it up with the net.”
Bai Xiyan nodded obediently.
“Mhm, go for it, hubby!”
“I’ll record it for you!”
With that, she stepped aside and started recording with her phone.
Ye Chen activated the automatic reeling function, then grabbed a large landing net in one hand and a harpoon in the other.
“Sailfish are aggressive, and their fins and bills are dangerous, so we need to stun it before bringing it aboard.”
As he explained, he swung the net, smoothly scooping up the sailfish as it neared the surface.

The harpoon struck the back of the fish’s head with a heavy thud.
The violently thrashing sailfish stiffened, its fins trembling briefly before going completely still.
Nearby, Bai Xiyan captured the entire process on video.
Once done, she set her phone aside and rushed back to Ye Chen’s side.
“Hubby, you’re amazing!”
“This fish is huge! It’s at least two meters long!”
She circled the unconscious sailfish, marveling at it with wide eyes.
Ye Chen chuckled. “Sailfish are highly migratory, with streamlined, muscular bodies. The largest can grow several meters long and weigh over a hundred kilograms—they’re one of the fastest swimmers in the ocean.”
“They’re widespread in the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans, including the South and East China Seas near our country.”
“Their meat is tender, flavorful, and highly nutritious, making them a premium ingredient.”
“We’ve got lunch sorted—we can make sashimi and a fish bone soup right here.”
“We’ll take the rest back and share some with Mom and the others.”
Bai Xiyan nodded repeatedly, but then a worried look crossed her face.
“But… what if Mom finds out about us? What then?”
Ye Chen patted her shoulder reassuringly. “Don’t worry. I’ll handle everything.”
Bai Xiyan bit her lip and leaned weakly against his shoulder.
“Mhm… but I’m still a little scared.”
Ye Chen grinned. “It’s fine. It’s not like they’ll hit you.”
“Even if they want to scold someone, they’ll come for me first, not you.”
Then, he gently pulled her up.
“The weather’s great today—it’s already around 20°C. Want to lie on the waterbed and sunbathe for a bit?”
Bai Xiyan hesitated, then nodded. “Sure, some sun sounds nice.”
The two of them lounged on the floating waterbed, each holding a glass of champagne as they soaked up the sun.
Another yacht drifted closer with the waves.
Suddenly, one of the women on board pointed excitedly at Ye Chen’s yacht.
“Wow! Look, there’s another yacht over there!”
At her exclamation, the other women turned, shielding their eyes as they gazed into the distance.
A chorus of gasps followed.
“That yacht looks super luxurious.”
“You think there are any handsome guys over there?”
“Let’s go say hi! Maybe we’ll have a beautiful encounter!”
