"Are you returning there tomorrow?"
Young Master Mo suddenly spoke, his clear and pleasant voice uncharacteristically gentle.
Yan Xinxin nodded. She had also received Ye Lirong’s call today, asking her to come home for a family reunion meal tomorrow. She found it rather odd—why would Ye Lirong suddenly suggest having a reunion dinner?
"I’ll drive you both over."
"Huh? You’ll take me and Xi back?"
"It’s not really an issue, but I don’t want to trouble—"
Yan Xinxin was still explaining when she suddenly felt Young Master Mo’s wet palm press against the back of her head as he turned his profile toward her.
This strange sensation lingered with Yan Xinxin. After her shower, she returned to the room, only to see Young Master Mo standing at her desk as if he were examining her design sketches.
Yan Xinxin hurried forward and took the sketches out of Young Master Mo’s hands.
"Young Master Mo, please don’t touch my things."
Young Master Mo parted his lips, and Yan Xinxin froze mid-action as she was organizing her sketches.
"Your ’Angel’s Tears’ is being accused of plagiarizing a design by Sunny from Di Jue Jewelry’s design department, called ’Angel’s Smile.’ Is this true?"
Upon hearing this, Yan Xinxin was stunned.
It was evident Young Master Mo had already learned about what had happened during her interview yesterday.
She let out a sarcastic laugh.
"Who is Sunny? It’s plainly Yan Zhirou. She’s the one who stole my designs."
Young Master Mo already felt deep disgust toward Yan Zhirou.
"Young Master Mo, I’d like to go to bed early now. Could you please leave the room?"
Yan Xinxin’s clear and melodious voice pulled Young Master Mo’s wandering thoughts back.
He lowered his gaze to look at her.
The weather was splendid, with a warm and gentle early summer sun.
Yan Xinxin dressed her son in a newly purchased outfit, while she herself wore a simple white sundress.
As they prepared to head out, she saw Young Master Mo already holding car keys, waiting at the entryway.
"Daddy Chuxi, are you taking me and Xinxin to see Grandpa?"
Xi made an astute guess.
Young Master Mo glanced at the silent Yan Xinxin, then nodded coldly and turned away.
Truthfully, Yan Xinxin didn’t want Young Master Mo to drive them. His flashy car was far too eye-catching; if Yan Zhirou and Ye Lirong saw it, it would definitely lead to some new misunderstanding.
The car drove smoothly and quickly, and soon Yan Xinxin saw the old residential complex appearing within view.
"Young Master Mo, just drop me and Xi off at the road up ahead."
Young Master Mo nodded.
Yan Xinxin looked at him in surprise. Why did he sound like he was in a particularly good mood?
The car slowly stopped near the complex. Yan Xinxin took her son’s hand and got out of the car.
"Daddy Chuxi, see you tonight."
Xi waved at Young Master Mo, who was still in the car.
Yan Xinxin no longer wanted to correct this form of address. She simply glanced at Young Master Mo.
"Xi, let’s go find Grandpa."
Yan Chenxi nodded obediently.
Under the bright sunshine, Young Master Mo watched their backs as they walked hand-in-hand. An inexplicable warmth stirred inside him.
Yan Xinxin held her son’s hand as they entered the complex. For some reason, it was unusually lively. It seemed like some kind of women’s gathering, with many women in their fifties clustering together, chattering animatedly about who-knows-what.
"Big Xinxin, why are there so many people?"
"Hmm... Big Xinxin doesn’t know either."
Yan Xinxin’s face was also full of confusion, but she suddenly heard some women nearby discussing her.
"When you compare, the youngest daughter of the Yan family really stands out—she’s so pretty, well-mannered, and capable. Even Young Master Mo, the top socialite of Ancheng, seems to be pursuing her!"
