As soon as the words left his mouth, the other end of the phone fell into a prolonged silence.
"Stop calling my girlfriend."
Mo Chuxi’s deep voice issued a warning.
"Even if you don’t want to admit it, you need to be clear about one thing. One day in the future, Yan Xinxin will be your sister-in-law."
As soon as Mo Chuxi finished speaking, Xu Nuo’s mocking laughter rang out.
"I don’t have an older brother, so how could I have a sister-in-law?"
"Xu Nuo, even if you deny it, you can’t erase the fact that we share the same blood. Arguing over this is meaningless."
Mo Chuxi spoke calmly and unhurriedly.
"If you’re truly so adamant about love and hate, then don’t bother Yan Xinxin because of what’s between us. If you cause her any trouble, I won’t show you any mercy."
Without giving Xu Nuo a chance to respond, Mo Chuxi directly hung up the call.
When he opened the chat interface, he noticed that Xu Nuo had already sent several messages to Yan Xinxin earlier, right around the time they were taking a shower.
Without a second thought, Mo Chuxi deleted the chat history, then casually strolled out of the room, heading toward the dining area.
He soon spotted Yan Xinxin busy cooking noodles in the kitchen.
Perhaps because she had just showered, the steaming mist from the boiling water enveloped Yan Xinxin’s fair and glowing face. That focused expression of hers inexplicably drew certain future visions in his mind.
When Yan Xinxin raised her head, she saw Mo Chuxi standing not far away, watching her. She blinked her eyes at him.
"Young Master Mo, take a seat. It’ll be ready soon."
Mo Chuxi responded nonchalantly, then turned and sat down at the dining table, casually toying with his phone.
Before long, the steaming bowl of noodles with an egg was served in front of him by Yan Xinxin.
She spoke as she sat down across from him.
Their dinner wasn’t particularly extravagant, but the atmosphere was inexplicably pleasant.

Yan Xinxin made her stance clear without hesitation.
Mo Chuxi paused his motion of eating noodles and raised his deep eyes.
"Why not? Do you not want people to know about us that much?"
"If our relationship gets exposed, it won’t be good for either you or me."
Yan Xinxin said as she lowered her head to eat, though her appetite seemed dampened.
From the start, the agreement she signed with Mo Chuxi was supposed to prevent any speculation if their relationship was exposed—proof that they were officially dating, so there would be no controversy.
But now, with Mo Chuxi serving as an associate professor at their university, and furthermore being her instructor, there was absolutely no way their relationship could go public.
Seeing that Yan Xinxin stayed silent while eating, Mo Chuxi watched her for a while before speaking.
"Stay away from that playboy who was teasing you at the banquet tonight."
Yan Xinxin raised her eyes upon hearing his remark.
"You’re talking about Xiao Yiran?"
"Actually, after you left, he came to find me and said some things that made me really uncomfortable."
"What did he say to you? Did he make any inappropriate moves on you? Yan Xinxin, I want you to tell me everything in detail."
Mo Chuxi’s sudden seriousness made Yan Xinxin freeze for a moment. Even though Xiao Yiran’s words had indeed been explicit, she didn’t hold anything back and recounted everything to the man in front of her.
But after finishing, she immediately noticed his handsome face darkening with fury.
"I need to make a call."
Mo Chuxi said as he stood up. Just as he picked up his phone to call Xiao Yiran, the man unexpectedly called first.
He glanced at Yan Xinxin, who was staring at him in confusion, then turned to walk toward the balcony before answering the call.
"Young Master Mo, I hope I’m not interrupting? I just wanted to ask if you’ve checked the trending topics yet. Your precious student, Yan Xinxin, seems to be going viral!"
