Yan Xinxin had just asked the question when Mo Chuxi’s handsome face moved closer.
"I want to taste it—to see how the ginger tea I made turned out."
As his low, magnetic voice fell, his thin lips pressed down on hers.
Yan Xinxin held the cup of water tightly, her eyes wide open as she watched Mo Chuxi close his eyes and kiss her earnestly.
Ripples spread across her heart, carrying with them a mix of joy and sorrow.

After drinking the brown sugar ginger tea Mo Chuxi had brewed for her, Yan Xinxin woke up after resting peacefully through the night, feeling much more refreshed.

"Xixi, why are you so disobedient? If this vixen hugs you, you’ll turn into a bad child!"
Mu Shaoqian warned sternly, his tone sharp.

"If Xixi likes her that much, then let her hug him for a while."

Ning Zitong interrupted, her vibrant eyes sweeping over Yan Xinxin before turning to her son.
"And besides, you’re a college graduate. Stop cursing people with such vulgar language all the time."
Mu Shaoqian stared blankly at Ning Zitong as she turned and got into the car.
Why did it sound like his mother was faintly defending Yan Xinxin?
Yan Xinxin was also somewhat surprised, but she didn’t think too deeply about it as she took Chenxi into her arms from Mu Shaoqian.
As the warm, soft little bundle nestled in her embrace, Yan Xinxin felt her heart grow warmer too.
"Xinxin-jie, you smell so nice. Xixi really really likes you..."
Chenxi wrapped his arms around Yan Xinxin’s neck and confessed, planting a soft kiss on her cheek.
Yan Xinxin felt deeply touched. Just as she was about to return the gesture with a kiss on the boy’s cheek, a red sports car stopped in front of her.
Mu Shaoqian quickly walked over.
"Qianshui, why are you only just getting here? If you came any later, Xixi might’ve been taken away by another woman!"
