Little Chenxi blinked her pure, wide eyes and nodded.
"Qianshui Sister told me last night! But she said I absolutely mustn’t tell anyone!"
Though she’d already anticipated it, hearing Little Chenxi’s response still caused an uncontrollable sinking, icy feeling in Yan Xinxin’s heart.
"But Qianshui Sister said that since I have such a good relationship with Xinxin Sister, it’s okay to tell Xinxin Sister."
After saying that, Little Chenxi turned and ran to the bedside, rummaging under the pillow for something.

A soft and sweet voice piped up in front of her, pulling Yan Xinxin out of her despondence.
She looked and saw Little Chenxi holding a tiny toy ring with a hydrangea-shaped decoration on it.
Yan Xinxin reached out absentmindedly to take the toy ring, her thoughts suddenly tugged by something.
It felt as though a fleeting image flashed across her mind.
"Xinxin Sister, will you play games with Xixi in the yard?"
Still lost in her daze, Yan Xinxin was suddenly pulled by Little Chenxi. Just as they reached the doorway, Mu Qianshui’s figure appeared before them.
Little Chenxi greeted politely.
Mu Qianshui gave a warm, gentle smile, bending down to stroke the little one’s cheek before straightening up.
"Yan Xinxin, where are you taking Chenxi? She’s not fully recovered yet. Don’t take her running around recklessly. If she catches some infection, can you bear the responsibility?"
Mu Qianshui scolded sharply in a cold tone.
Yan Xinxin looked at her proud face and slowly released Little Chenxi’s hand.
"Chenxi, Xinxin Sister will play with you later."
She said as she raised her gaze, her eyes meeting Mu Qianshui’s with a serious intent.
"Mu Qianshui, I have something to say to you. Come out."
In a rare display of dominance, Yan Xinxin said directly before walking out of the room.
Mu Qianshui curled her crimson lips into a satisfied smirk.
Her smile grew deeper as she looked at the wide-eyed Little Chenxi standing in front of her.
Yan Xinxin stood on the balcony outside the hallway, bathed in the warm sunlight, yet her delicate face seemed to carry a layer of icy chill.
Mu Qianshui strolled over leisurely, arms crossed.
Yan Xinxin turned around, lifting her clear eyes to glare at her with disdain.
"Mu Qianshui, what’s the meaning of this? What are you trying to achieve by deliberately leading Little Chenxi to tell me all of this?"
Mu Qianshui shrugged nonchalantly, her bewitching face lit up with a glowing smile.
"I just wanted you to know that having Chuxi’s child doesn’t guarantee you’ll be his Mrs. Mo. You can give Chuxi a son, and I can give him a daughter."
She flicked her hand and swept her long hair aside.
"Yan Xinxin, let me tell you this: Chuxi has had plenty of women. You and I are just two among them. Don’t think you’re so special that he’ll fall in love with you. In Chuxi’s heart, the only one he truly loves is my sister, Mu Qianyuan. You aren’t even qualified to be her substitute."
