At the exact moment she sat down, a conspicuous sound rang out!
The class bell followed immediately.
Yan Xinxin raised her bright, smiling eyes to look at Ling Siyu, whose expression had frozen. Coincidentally, Ling Siyu’s vindictive eyes were now staring right back at her.
Yan Xinxin watched her, leisurely lifting her peach-pink lips into a subtle smile, then elegantly turned and sat down in her chair.
Two seconds after sitting, Yan Xinxin deliberately stood up again, adjusted her skirt, and sat back down.
Ling Siyu was dumbfounded, her face undergoing a dramatic change!
She tried to stand up, but as soon as she moved slightly, she felt something sticking to her behind!
It was strong adhesive glue!
She realized immediately!
Her chair and Yan Xinxin’s chair had been switched!
It had to be Yan Xinxin!
Not too oblivious, she quickly deduced the truth from the curve of Yan Xinxin’s recent smile!
Ling Siyu clenched her fists, her face turning ashen!
It was her favorite and most expensive skirt!
On the first day of class, she’d worn it specifically to flaunt it!
But now, the backside of it was glued down completely by the adhesive—her skirt was surely ruined!
Ling Siyu glared daggers at Yan Xinxin, her teeth grinding in rage.
But Ling Siyu had no opportunity to vent, as the very strict and serious-looking female instructor had entered the classroom.
"Good afternoon, everyone. Let’s now continue with the morning’s lesson."
The instructor began explaining the topic.
Yan Xinxin cast a casual glance at Ling Siyu, who looked like she was sitting on a bed of nails, and suddenly found the situation amusing.
The female instructor suddenly called out her name.
"It’s clear you’re eager to make an impression. Now I have a question for you."
"Please explain the grading system for diamonds."
Ling Siyu was utterly shocked and petrified.
They wanted her to stand and answer the question now?
The instructor adjusted her glasses and sternly stared at Ling Siyu, who wasn’t budging an inch.
"Miss Ling Siyu, are you protesting against my criticism from this morning? Please stand up and answer my question."
The instructor prodded her, and other students in the classroom directed their gaze toward Ling Siyu, making her feel even more uneasy, as though she were sitting on pins and needles.
"Sorry, professor. I don’t know how to answer this question."
"Do you really not know how to answer, or are you refusing to answer?"
The instructor walked off the podium, heading over to Ling Siyu’s desk.
"Miss Ling Siyu, I’m asking you to stand up and answer my question."
Damn it! This old hag is out to get me!
Ling Siyu was both humiliated and infuriated. She finally burst out in anger.
"I’m sorry, professor! It’s not that I don’t want to stand and answer, it’s that I physically can’t stand up right now!"
"Someone spread adhesive glue on my chair! I’m stuck and can’t stand up!"
The female instructor’s gaze turned toward her chair, startled.
The other students in the classroom were also staring now, including Xu Nuo.
"Professor Li, it was her! It was Yan Xinxin who smeared glue on my chair!"
Ling Siyu pointed angrily at Yan Xinxin, causing all eyes to shift toward her.
"Miss Yan Xinxin, did you smear glue on Miss Ling Siyu’s chair?"
Xu Nuo instantly defended Yan Xinxin without hesitation.
"Xinxin isn’t the type to do something like that."
Ling Siyu snarled viciously, completely convinced.
Yan Xinxin smiled calmly and serenely.
"Ling Siyu, you claim I smeared glue on your chair. Do you have any proof?"
"What kind of proof do I need? It’s obvious you and I have bad blood between us!"
"So, you don’t have any proof?"
With a cool smile, Yan Xinxin stood up.
"You lack proof, but I do have evidence. Evidence that proves you, Ling Siyu, are the wolf crying ’wolf’ and retaliating with a blatant lie."
