Billionaire's Secret Twins and Rebellious Wife Chapter 388

Mo Chuxi’s steps paused slightly.

"Why are you interested in this?"

"Maybe just out of curiosity?"

Yan Xinxin found a reason that sounded plausible enough.

"Can you tell me something about Mu Qianyuan’s childhood? I want to know what kind of girl she was, and why you liked her so much."

Mo Chuxi lowered his gaze and asked, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his sensual lips.

Yan Xinxin shook her head, her beautiful eyes earnestly staring at his teasing gaze.

"Maybe I don’t have a reason to be jealous."

Yan Xinxin cut herself off.

She suspected that she might be Mu Qianyuan, but Mu Qianyuan’s death had been conclusively determined over a decade ago...

The more Yan Xinxin thought about it, the more conflicted she became.

In any case, she needed to wait for the paternity test with Mu Qianshui to come out first.

If it turned out to be true, she had no idea how to face the Mu family.

"Mo Chuxi, if Mu Qianyuan wasn’t dead, and she came back, would you—"

"I haven’t even finished my question."

"Finished or not, it’s the same. I wouldn’t."

He stared into her starry eyes, his gaze deeply intense.

"I know very well who my wife is. Yan Xinxin, and I hope you remember too—this life, you must wholeheartedly and exclusively love me, just one man."

"I don’t love you at all."

Yan Xinxin denied with a nonchalant smile, her lazy grin shifting to the garden where Xi was playing with Little Zi, the maid.

"Xi! Your little Xinxin is here..."

She turned with a radiant smile.

Mo Chuxi’s heart skipped a beat. That playful smile she cast back at him so easily tugged on his heartstrings.

In the dining room, a table of exquisite, lavish dishes had already been prepared.

Sister Lin smiled as she brought over a plate of roast goose.

"This is the roast goose Madam loves most."

She said as she placed it near Lin Yuan’ai.

After washing her hands, Yan Xinxin strolled into the dining room, and Mo Chuxi gallantly pulled out a chair for her.

She thanked him affectionately.

Mo Chuxi’s lips twitched into a smile as he leaned down to kiss Yan Xinxin’s cheek.

"Wow! So lovey-dovey!"

Lin Yuan’ai’s expression darkened, her face full of displeasure as she turned to instruct Sister Lin.

"Go call the master down for dinner."

"Ugh, what is that overpowering smell?"

Yan Xinxin frowned uncomfortably, her delicate brows furrowed as she touched her stomach.

"Hubby, I feel a little nauseous. Could it be that the baby is protesting against some unpleasant smell?"

Mo Chuxi’s brows furrowed as he approached her with concern.

"Do you want to throw up?"

Yan Xinxin nodded reluctantly, appearing pitiful.

Lin Yuan’ai rolled her eyes in irritation.

"Every dish here was prepared by five-star chefs. Each one is perfect in color, aroma, and taste. How could there be anything unpleasant?"

"It seems to be this one."

Yan Xinxin covered her nose, pointing to the plate of roast goose in front of Lin Yuan’ai.

"That’s the smell, so pungent. I feel like throwing up."

Lin Yuan’ai’s face instantly turned grim.

"Yan Xinxin, are you deliberately trying to pick a fight with me?"

"What fight? Little Xinxin has always hated eating this stuff!"

Yan Chenxi immediately defended her. Lin Yuan’ai’s expression grew even uglier.

"Since Saozi feels nauseous, just take it away then!"

Mo Qingning said, and was about to instruct the maid.

"No one’s allowed to touch it!"

Lin Yuan’ai snapped angrily to stop them.

"This dish was specially ordered by me today. I want to see who dares to take it away!"

Just as Lin Yuan’ai finished speaking, Yan Xinxin retched uncomfortably.

"Hubby, I feel awful. I think I won’t eat here anymore. I want to go back home and have the food you cook personally for me!"

Lin Yuan’ai was so enraged her face turned a livid shade, and she abruptly stood up in fury.

"Yan Xinxin! How dare you demand Chuxi to personally cook for you! You’re just a lowly woman—what makes you think you can have Chuxi, a prestigious heir, cook for you! Are you dreaming of heaven?" Discover more novels at novel_fіre.net

"I’ve never dreamed of heaven."

Yan Xinxin replied calmly and composedly.

"I only dream of my husband."
