Yan Xinxin furrowed her delicate brows, placing her hands against Mo Chuxi's chest in an attempt to stop him, but he clearly had no intention of stopping.
He slowly opened his sharp, captivating eyes and, seeing the flush on Yan Xinxin's face, the corners of his lips curved slightly. Suddenly, he leaned forward and gently bit her upper lip.
Yan Xinxin's eyes jolted open in shock, unaware of when they had even shut.
That lunatic—he's biting me again!
"Mo Chuxi, are you crazy...?"
With all her strength, Yan Xinxin tried to push him away using her hands, but he suddenly reached out and brushed her delicate hands aside. His slender fingers swiftly undid the top two buttons on her collar, and with a pull, Yan Xinxin's smooth and rounded left shoulder was abruptly exposed to the air.
On her shoulder, there was an unmistakable faint mark—a bite.
Yan Xinxin was utterly dumbfounded by Mo Chuxi's actions. Even as he released her lips, she remained frozen in place.
Their gazes collided for but a second before Mo Chuxi suddenly bent down, his thin lips landing precisely on the bite mark on her shoulder.
A shallow pang of pain descended unexpectedly, causing Yan Xinxin to frown.
"The man who answered your call last time—was it Xu Nuo?"
The still silence was finally broken by Mo Chuxi's icy voice.
Yan Xinxin stared blankly at him, watching as he lowered his striking eyes and coldly helped her straighten her collar. His distinctly jointed fingers methodically rebuttoned her shirt, restoring its neatness as though nothing had happened.
As if the only purpose of his actions had been to leave a mark of punishment on her shoulder.
"Don't get too close to Xu Nuo. I don't like it."
Leaving behind this unabashedly commanding statement, Mo Chuxi turned and walked toward his desk.
What does he mean by he doesn't like it?
Does he think she likes it?
She hadn't ever been close to Xu Nuo to begin with. Sure, he had helped her before, and she was thankful, but she hadn't known that Xu Nuo liked her.
"Why are you still standing there? Want to continue?"
The teasing remark jolted Yan Xinxin back to her senses. She looked up to see Mo Chuxi already holding a stack of test papers, his expression calm, composed, as if the earlier events had never occurred.
"Mo Chuxi, why did you call me here?"
Yan Xinxin furrowed her delicate brows, perplexed, staring at the man who was now walking toward the door of the office.
"Still not clear enough?"
Mo Chuxi turned back, extending his palm to effortlessly clasp the back of her head again. With a slight force, he pressed Yan Xinxin against his chest.
"Hmm? Want to go another round?"
"...Mo Chuxi, you're insane!"
Yan Xinxin's cheeks burned as she angrily pushed Mo Chuxi away.
"This is the teaching building, and right now you're my professor."
She stared at him, her gaze sharp and serious as she emphasized this fact.
"Had I known you'd be the school's new associate professor, I would never have agreed to any kind of transaction with you."
Yan Xinxin finished speaking and turned to leave, only for Mo Chuxi to abruptly seize her wrist.
"Yan Xinxin, I'll give you one chance to restructure your statement."
