Lucas Warren gave a wicked smile: "My dear sister-in-law, what do you mean by that?"
"Is it not okay for me to visit your house and see my nephew and niece?"
Hunter Warren slowly walked over to Faye Townsend’s side, naturally placing his hand on her shoulder: "No one said you couldn’t visit your nephew and niece.
But the point is, the guardians of these two children are not at home, and you came alone. Is that really okay?"
"My dear brother, don’t say it like that, I am their real uncle."
Lucas said as he squatted down beside Darnley, a teasing smile on his lips: "Look at this, don’t you think the Warren family bloodline and I look like we are cut from the same mold?"
"I was quite surprised when I saw this child today. Someone who didn’t know might think it’s mine..."
"Stop talking nonsense." Faye glared at Lucas.
Hunter tightened his embrace around Faye, as if to comfort her. He smiled slightly at Lucas: "Warren children should look a bit like the Warren family, that’s only normal."
After Hunter spoke, he turned to Uncle Rivers: "Uncle Rivers, today was Faye’s brother’s wedding, and everyone is busy and tired. I don’t think we have the energy to entertain my brother here.
Please take him to find his favorite restaurant for a nice meal."
Lucas raised an eyebrow, realizing it was a dismissal.
He turned to look at Darnley and gave a rare smile: "Darnley, can I come see you again in the future?"
Darnley looked at Faye’s expression before shaking his head: "Better not, I have to start kindergarten soon and take care of my sister, so I’m too busy to play with Uncle.
When I’m not busy anymore, I’ll ask Dad to take me to visit Uncle."
Hunter’s lips curved into a wicked smile, indeed his good son, earning face.
Miya raised her hand to wave at Lucas: "Goodbye, Uncle."
Lucas nodded: "Alright, we’ll see each other next time."
He stepped out, and as he passed by Faye, his lips lightly curved: "See you next time, Faye."
Faye unconsciously clenched her fists and stayed silent.
Hunter smiled: "Okay, next time I’ll bring Faye and treat you and my sister-in-law to a meal."
Lucas didn’t respond, stepping out with Uncle Rivers.
Faye turned her head to look at Hunter, her face drooping a bit and her complexion not looking too good.
He smiled softly, lifting his hand to ruffle her face: "It’s alright, don’t overthink it."
Faye nodded and stepped forward to ask Darnley: "What did he say to you?"
"Uh... he hadn’t been here long, he just said he was our uncle.
I asked him if he’s my dad’s brother, why didn’t he attend Uncle’s wedding.
He said he was very hurt because he wasn’t invited."
Faye crouched down and took his wrist: "Darnley, this uncle of yours doesn’t have a great relationship with Mom.
So, in the future, you and Miya must keep a certain distance from him.
Mom doesn’t like you interacting with him, understand?"
"But... isn’t he our relative?"
Hunter took Faye’s hand and laughed: "Yes, he’s our relative, but before your mom married me, he was quite fond of your mom too.

Hunter nodded: "Many people pursued your mom?" he asked, raising an eyebrow as he looked at Faye.
Faye, annoyed, covered her face with her hand. This Darnley, is he a savior or a calamity, saying everything.
"Of course, plenty of them. My mom is beautiful. Dad, you’re really lucky."
Hunter burst out laughing: "Yes, I am really lucky. When your mom isn’t around, no one pursues Dad."
Hunter said as he raised an eyebrow, watching her look around for mouse holes.
That night, Hunter and Faye helped Darnley and Miya take their bath, tutored them a bit, and then rested together with the two children.
After they fell asleep, the two of them returned to their room.
Once inside, Hunter pushed her against the door, leaning down close to her face.
"How many people chased after you when I wasn’t around?"
Faye frowned: "Why are you so hung up on this?"
"No no no, this is absolutely not about holding grudges. This is a matter of principle.
