"Is this something I should be concerned about?" He crossed his legs and lifted his coffee cup.
"I’ve told them when they were with me, I couldn’t offer a future, just money.
Even so, if they still cling to me, then it’s not my responsibility, is it?"
Upon careful thought, it seemed like a long time since he last sought a woman’s company.
Thinking ... Kay Forrest felt as if he’d turned over a new leaf.
Turn over a new leaf? Ha, what a great idea.
He guessed it was Jane Quinlan’s influence, turning him into a conservative.
"If that’s the case, why are you going on a blind date with me?"
"Blind date?" Kay Forrest raised an eyebrow: "NO, I came here to clear things up with you.
After this coffee, you can go. I’ve planned a dinner with my girlfriend."
"Girlfriend?" Yvonne Stone looked somewhat displeased: "You have a new girlfriend again?
Forrest decidedly said you didn’t have a girlfriend."
"What era is this? Do I have to report to my dad every time I have a girlfriend?"
"Are... are you saying this just to spite me?"
Kay Forrest raised an eyebrow and smirked: "Spite you? You’re a beauty yourself, why would I do such boring things."
Hearing him say that, Yvonne Stone was confused about what he meant.
To call her a beauty and yet say he has a girlfriend?
"Kay, don’t do this, I genuinely want to be with you.
Can’t we forget the past and start over?
Have I not given you enough time over these years?
Even if I was wrong in the past, the pain you’ve dealt me over these years should have been revenge enough."
Kay Forrest curved his lips: "It seems you really don’t trust me."
He took out his phone to dial Jane Quinlan’s number: "Jane, where are you?"
Jane Quinlan was confused by his question for a second: "Ah? Oh, I’m at the entrance of the restaurant."
"Then come in quickly, I’m waiting for you."
After hanging up, Jane Quinlan opened the car door, stepped out, and walked briskly into the restaurant.
Upon entering, she looked around, and Kay Forrest noticed her, straightened his collar, and walked towards her.
Seeing Kay Forrest approaching, Jane Quinlan greeted him with a hooked lip and a slight smile.
He immediately grabbed her wrist and pulled her to his side.
Jane Quinlan asked softly, "That’s the person sitting at your table, right?"
Kay Forrest smirked: "Correct, now, I’m going to kiss you, don’t act too surprised."
"Ah?" Just these few words were enough to surprise him.
But before she could react, he had already tilted his head and kissed her on the lips.
In full view of everyone, Jane Quinlan quickly closed her eyes, embarrassed about doing such a thing in a public place.
After a while, he slowly let her go.
How strange, kissing her was addictive.
He seemed to have fallen for her taste, never having enough kisses.
He must have gone mad.
Letting her go, he massaged the center of her eyebrows: "I’ll take you to meet a friend."
Jane Quinlan pursed her lips, thankful it wasn’t her first time and she was immune.
He led her to Yvonne Stone: "Jane, let me introduce you, this is Yvonne.
I told you before about her, my dad’s matchmaking candidate and my high school junior. We dated briefly during school but broke up because we weren’t compatible."
This way of introduction made Jane Quinlan feel instantly awkward.
And Yvonne Stone’s expression turned even uglier.
Jane Quinlan lightly pursed her lips and nodded to Yvonne Stone.
"Yvonne, this is my woman, Jane Quinlan, you can just call her Jane."
While speaking, his hand naturally rested on her waist: "I didn’t dare tell you just now, today my dad wanted me to meet with Yvonne for a blind date, I asked you to come here for dinner to also tell her that I have a girlfriend now."
Yvonne Stone curved her lips: "So, are you guys having dinner together here? Miss Quinlan, would you mind if I join your meal?"

Kay Forrest pulled Jane Quinlan to sit down.
Since Yvonne Stone wanted to be fed with dog food, he might as well give it to her.
He called the waiter to order the meal, and after the steak arrived, he personally cut Jane Quinlan’s steak and placed it in front of her.
