Kay Forrest looked down at her chest: "I’m not mad about that, she ruined my plans."
Jane Quinlan raised her hand and slapped his shoulder: "Hey, can you be serious for a second?"
Kay Forrest grinned with his teeth showing: "If a man acts all proper in front of his girlfriend, it only proves he doesn’t like her."
Jane Quinlan blinked, implying, does he like her?
She bit her lip, trying hard to hold back a smile: "So... when did you start liking me?"
Kay Forrest stood up and tapped her head lightly: "Figure it out yourself."
Jane Quinlan pouted, thinking that’s not fair: "Where are you going?"
"To make coffee, I’m destined to be sleepless tonight."
Jane Quinlan laughed, exaggerating.
The doorbell rang, and Jane Quinlan saw Lily Snow when she went to open the door.
Then there were six or seven boxes behind her... and a middle-aged man.
It was the first time she saw someone borrowing a place to stay with so many suitcases.
As soon as she saw her, Lily Snow excitedly stepped forward and hugged her: "Ah, Jane, thank you for taking me in at this time."
Kay Forrest emerged from the kitchen: "Can’t you be a bit quieter."
Lily Snow was surprised: "Jane, why is this annoying guy still here?"

Jane Quinlan turned to glare at Kay Forrest, and he toned it down a bit.

This guy is such a flirt."
Kay Forrest gritted his teeth: "You... woman, are you asking for it?"
"What are you glaring at me for? I’m telling the truth, Faye said so."
Kay Forrest gritted his teeth: "Enough, Jane, hurry up and kick this woman out."
Jane Quinlan felt embarrassed, Lily Snow saying Kay Forrest was a flirt right in front of her...
Apparently, she really didn’t think much, otherwise, she wouldn’t speak so bluntly.
She scratched her brow: "Alright, you two stop arguing, Lily, come in."
Lily Snow turned around and told the taxi driver: "Help me bring the luggage in."
After helping, the taxi driver received a tip of a hundred bucks from Lily Snow.
After the driver left, Lily Snow went to sit on the sofa and looked around.
"Jane, your place is so small."
"If you think it’s small, you can leave." Kay Forrest, sitting with his leg crossed on another single chair.
"I just said it’s small, didn’t say I dislike it."
Jane Quinlan chuckled: "It’s alright, I’m comfortable living here, do you want something to drink?"
"Hmm... never mind the drink, I haven’t finished my meal. Have you eaten?
Let’s go out to eat, or... ordering takeout is fine too."
Jane Quinlan smiled at Kay Forrest, who was suppressing his anger.
Their personalities are quite similar, both hard to please, so it’s easy for them to clash.
"How about I make you a bowl of noodles?"
"You can cook," Lily Snow was extremely surprised.
Jane Quinlan nodded: "Pretty much."
Jane Quinlan looked at Kay Forrest: "Aren’t you going back?"
"No way, what if I leave and this woman bullies you?"
Lily Snow crossed her legs: "I won’t bully Jane, I’ll only bully you."
Kay Forrest crossed his arms and raised his chin: "Then let’s see what happens."
Jane Quinlan shook her head speechlessly and turned to the kitchen.
She soon brought out a bowl of tomato and egg noodles.
"Miss Snow, come eat."
Lily Snow put down the pillow she was holding and ran to the dining table.
Seeing a few raw cilantro leaves on the noodles, Lily Snow pouted at Jane Quinlan.
Jane Quinlan was puzzled: "What’s wrong?"
"Jane, I’m sorry, I forgot to tell you, I don’t eat cilantro."
Hearing this, Kay Forrest immediately went over, took the noodles straight back to the kitchen, then don’t eat it, just stay hungry.
Jane Quinlan tapped Kay Forrest’s hand and asked Lily Snow: "Are there any other things you can’t eat, tell me now."
"I don’t eat cilantro because I can’t stand the taste.
I have a sensitive stomach and generally don’t eat anything too greasy at night."
Jane Quinlan nodded: "Alright, then wait for me, I’ll make another bowl for you."
She went back into the kitchen, and Kay Forrest walked to Lily Snow’s side and threatened with glaring eyes: "Let me tell you, Jane has a good temper, but that doesn’t mean I’m easy to push around.
Don’t treat Jane like your slave, or I don’t care who you’re close with, you’ll get it."
Lily Snow saw how nervous he was about Jane and gave a mischievous smile.
