Grayson Forrest watched calmly as Kay Forrest ranted.
He looked around his office and said, "Nolan has already reported this to me.
What he did was indeed a bit too much.
But did you really need to lose your temper like that?
Jane Quinlan was just a bit too drunk, that’s all.
It’s not like anything serious happened."
"Not a serious matter? Fine, call Nolan Moore here now.
I’ll give him ten bottles of liquor and make him drink them all in one go.
I want to see if him getting drunk counts as something serious.
Since he has no parents, what does it matter if he drinks himself to death?"
Grayson Forrest frowned displeasedly, grabbed an ashtray, and hurled it at Kay.
Kay dodged sideways, looking at him.
He said irritably, "You can be angry, but keep your anger in check.
I will personally explain it to Jane.
Less nonsense from you in the future."
"Oh, are you upset because I said something about your godson?
When your godson hurt the woman your own son loves, why didn’t I see you protecting her ?
I wasn’t planning to make a big deal out of it, but you keep pushing me.
I won’t let this go easily; tell Nolan Moore to watch out."
He turned and left the office with a cold snort.
Grayson Forrest shouted angrily: "Come back here."
But Forrest didn’t listen to him at all, he was already at the elevator door.
Only five minutes after he left, Nolan Moore appeared in Grayson Forrest’s office.
Seeing the mess in the office, Nolan immediately started cleaning up.
Grayson Forrest gently tapped on the table a few times, "That’s enough Nolan, stop cleaning."
Nolan paused and stood up, "I’m sorry Director Forrest, I didn’t expect things to turn out like that last night."
"You were doing this for me, you don’t need to apologize.
But... it’s better to be careful in the future.
If something had really happened to Jane last night, wouldn’t you regret it?"
"Kay might be looking everywhere for you right now.
Try to avoid him these next few days.
He’s really stubborn and has been doting on Jane lately.
You really stoked the flames this time.
I tell you, he won’t calm down without making some noise."
Nolan nodded, "Okay."
"Is your face okay? Do you need to go to the hospital again?"
Nolan replied awkwardly, "I’m fine."
"Then go ahead with your work and remember to rest plenty."
"Yes, Director Forrest."
Nolan respectfully bowed to Grayson Forrest before turning to leave.
After the room quieted down, Grayson Forrest raised his eyebrows, looked around his messy office, and gave a wry smile.
"That Kay, he’s as stubborn as a mule when he digs in his heels."
"Unexpectedly, Jane Quinlan isn’t a pushover either, hitting men ruthlessly while drunk."
Looking at Nolan’s scratched face... it’s really scary."
Ever since she learned about her heroic acts, Jane couldn’t stay in the hospital any longer.
She really felt that everyone was looking at her strangely.
As if she was some prehistoric monster.
That feeling was terribly uncomfortable.
The two hours Kay was out, she was absolutely restless in her room.
When he returned, Jane immediately sat up, startling Kay.
He thought she was asleep as he had tiptoed in.
But she suddenly sat up...
"What’s wrong?" Kay came over and saw how flustered she looked.
"I know what I did last night, I’m so embarrassed."
She despondently covered her face with her hands, "I feel so ridiculous..."
Kay chuckled, "You remembered?"
Jane rolled her eyes at him, "Hey, are you even human?
Everyone else is laughing at me, and now you too."
"No no no, I’m definitely not laughing at you.
You actually remembered, how miraculous."
Jane speechlessly responded, "I didn’t remember, it’s just that people were giving me weird looks.
Roman Hughes, your doctor friend, was here and I happened to ask him.
Kay was also speechless, this Roman Hughes, can’t change his gossipy nature.
"Forrest, to be at my age and still do such things, it’s quite embarrassing, isn’t it?"
Kay smiled and ruffled her hair.
"Why think that way? There’s nothing to be embarrassed about.
Thinking back, I find you were really true to your nature last night, utterly adorable."
Jane rolled her eyes, "Can we even have a proper conversation?"
"I’m complimenting you," Kay sat beside her, "Come on, don’t be down.
