In the evening, Jane Quinlan got off work earlier than Kay Forrest.
After Nolan Moore left, she called Kay Forrest.
"I’m off work now, how about you? When will you be able to leave work?"
Kay Forrest felt a bit gloomy: "I still need at least one more hour.
Are you going to wait for me, or go home first?"
Jane Quinlan thought for a moment: "Then I should go home first.
I need to go back and memorize the regulations for half an hour before cooking.
By the time you come home, the meal will be ready.
I always feel like I can’t really memorize it well in the office."
"Okay then, you have the car keys, you can drive back first.
I’ll have my driver send me home later."
"No need, it’s so close, I’ll take the bus, that’s settled pleasantly."
She hung up the phone right after saying that.
Kay Forrest looked at his phone and smiled, this girl, driving back would scare her to death?
Wendy stood across from him, puzzled by his blissful face.
Director Forrest talks so gently with his girlfriend, why is he so strict with her?
She didn’t do anything wrong.
"Director Forrest, your girlfriend..."
Kay Forrest put the phone down on the desk, and gave her a cold glance.
"Don’t inquire about things you shouldn’t."

"Send this financial report to the finance department later and let the planning department manager come to see me."

She went into the kitchen and tied on an apron, hesitating as she looked at a pile of vegetables.
Tomato scrambled eggs, cola chicken wings, hmm... let’s have stir-fried shrimp too.
That decision is pleasantly settled.
She hummed a little tune while starting to wash and cook the vegetables.
The kitchen exhaust fan was a bit noisy.
When Kay Forrest entered from outside, she didn’t hear a sound.
He heard Jane Quinlan humming in the kitchen.
She seemed quite happy.
Thinking of her displeased face during lunch today.
He smiled subtly, it seems she adjusted her mood.
He approached the kitchen doorway, and before he could speak, he gave Jane Quinlan a big scare.
"Oh my god, when did you get home? You scared me to death, not a single noise."
Jane Quinlan really was frightened, her rosy face turned pale.
Kay Forrest couldn’t help but laugh, stepping forward to hold her cheek and gave her a kiss.
"There, let your husband calm you down."
Jane Quinlan chuckled and pointed her finger towards the window: "Scare dispersed."
Kay Forrest found her even funnier, "And you still dare to say you were scared.
Are you sure it wasn’t because you were too engrossed?"
"Cooking, of course, needs concentration."
Kay Forrest laughed as he took off his jacket: "Even humming a tune? I remember your face was clouded this afternoon.
What’s up? Practicing menopausal mood swings all day long?"
Jane Quinlan rolled her eyes at him: "You’re the menopausal one.
I know how to prioritize.
Lunch is lunch, and evening is evening.
Why should I bring unhappiness back to our world for two?"
Kay Forrest grinned: "Good, not bad, for this performance, I should really reward you well tonight."
Jane Quinlan nudged him with her elbow: "Annoying you, playing the rogue again."
"Look at you, thinking impurely and still accusing others of being lewd.
What if I said I was going to open a bottle of my cherished wine to reward you?"
Jane Quinlan glared at him, yeah right, as if he was just finding an excuse.
"Tell me, do you really want to accept my reward later?
This really is a wine I’ve cherished for many years."
"Accept it, let’s have a drink tonight."
Kay Forrest grinned, this girl is really getting it.
He went back to the room to change clothes.
It didn’t take long for Jane Quinlan to finish cooking the dishes, she called out in the living room: "Dinner time, Forrest."
Kay Forrest suddenly felt that voice was truly heartwarming.
It had the taste of home.
He came out of the bedroom and sat at the table, she personally poured him a glass of red wine, and Kay Forrest stared at this little woman: "Tell me, what exactly is making you so happy?"
