Nolan Moore shrugged and sneered, "How would I know? I’m not a worm in Mr. Forrest’s belly.
I just got the message that he wants you to go upstairs to meet him after you come back.

Jane Quinlan felt irked by his sarcastic tone, wondering why she even bothered asking him.
After going upstairs, Mr. Forrest’s secretary saw her and helped to announce her arrival.
