It disguised itself as Benjamin, originally intending to ambush Shawn and his companions, but unexpectedly got exposed by Shawn in an instant, dying in the close-range chaos of gunshots.

Not until William swung his sword and chopped off its head did the Mimic Monster reveal its true form—a puddle of black sludge, with hunched humanoid skeletal structures, lacking any internal organs. After death, its entire body’s muscles began to dissolve, with a slight residue circulating with a strange glow.
Extraordinary Relics!
The Mimic Monster’s Extraordinary Relic is the core material for the Transformation Path; many Transcendents with Transformation Ability need to integrate and digest such Extraordinary Essence.
Similarly, the Wizard Path requires Transformation Spells to extract the essence from these Extraordinary Relics.

Mimic Monsters are extremely dangerous Hunters that can transform into your likeness in the blink of an eye.
Unfortunately, it encountered Shawn.
Shawn’s powerful inspiration can be said to inherently restrain this type of Evil Object, while ordinary Investigators find it almost impossible to see through its nearly perfect transformation.
Daisy moved.
Her petite and delicate body exhibited an extremely terrifying burst of power, leaping more than ten meters in a single bound, directly intercepting the hunched figure leaping in mid-air, sharp claws slicing a cold light as if a cat were catching a mouse, pressing it down instantly. With a muffled boom, that hunched humanoid monster was directly torn in half by her.
Too brutal!
Daisy’s combat style is more brutal than anyone else. Once she enters combat mode, her original sweet and lovely demeanor completely disappears, leaving only wildness and a desire for slaughter in her cold vertical pupils.
She is the most excellent Hunter, the top Predator.
Daisy’s figure flew through the vertical space at a three-story height; a monster climbing out of a window was instantly caught by her, its head slammed directly into the wall, blood mixed with brain matter flowing, the skull almost entirely shattered.
She crouched like a leaping cheetah, grabbed one monster’s foot in mid-air, then swung it against the corridor’s railing. The stone railing was shattered, with flying debris and the monster’s mangled head and broken neck amidst it.
These monsters weigh about eighty pounds each, and Daisy held them like she was pinching a small mouse.
Plop! Plop! Plop!
One by one, the monster’s bodies fell; Daisy slightly leaped, landing lightly from the second-floor railing, standing obediently beside Shawn.
Drip.
Blood dripped down her claws, pale brain matter clung to her soft fur. At this moment, with her half-human, half-beast appearance, even Shawn couldn’t help but feel a jolt in his heart.
Not far away were the scratches she left running vertically on the wall, each about ten centimeters long and three centimeters deep, directly engraved into the hard wall.
"Best not anger her in the future," Shawn silently warned himself.
He seemed to realize.
There were only two rookies here, one was him, and the other was William, who might be a bit stronger than himself.
But the Warrior Path is merely a strong meat shield in the early stages.
Rumble!
About several hundred meters away, a three-story high building collapsed, followed by the emergence of a creature with a massive head with many whip-like tentacles—the Black Goat Descendants, a mythical creature, a creation of a certain being of the old, a dangerous predator even in the Bizarre Realm.
Just seeing it, Shawn felt a mental sting.
High inspiration has both pros and cons.
The battle over there was not something their group could meddle in. The Death Pilgrim’s figure dashed around the monster because the adversary was a high-ranking flesh-blood being (mythical species), making many flesh-blood abilities ineffective. Only some relatively powerful Night Watchers had the qualification to join the battle.
Shawn couldn’t see too clearly.
Partly because buildings obstructed his view, partly because others moved too quickly.
More noticeable was a woman in a fiery red trench coat; her figure flew through the air, occasionally flickering to appear behind the monster, her movement path entirely without warning, likely a High Sequence Transcendent in the Casting Series.
There was also a big man on the ground.
His appearance somewhat resembled Jason Tangel, whom they met today, but Shawn couldn’t be sure because he seemed nearly over three meters tall. Although a bit small compared to the colossal creature in front of them, his physique alone completely outmatched the others nearby.
"A Barbarian from the Fury Sequence?" Shawn wasn’t sure.
The appearance was somewhat like the abomination battling the Hulk, with exaggerated muscles all over, an entirely dark red Devil’s muscular form with even bones transformed, some extending protective bone plates; this was a high tier flesh-blood ability, and the Extraordinary Essence generally originates from Upper Position Evil Objects.
His strength was truly astonishing.
It was the first time Shawn saw someone smash a house to pieces with a single axe strike.
"Don’t get close, meow," Daisy stopped Shawn, who wanted a clearer view.
At that level of battle, Low Sequence Transcendents should avoid getting too close, as even a flying piece of debris could cause severe injury.
