Their abdomens swelled, and their sharp claws seemed to tear at something, the air thick with the scent of blood and decay. These creatures had six partial human-like facial features, but their murky eyeballs gleamed chillingly in the darkness.
A breeze blew past.
The leaves moved not far away, then a shallow footprint appeared on the ground; the expansive wilderness showed no sign of any living creatures. A monster feasting turned its head cautiously, finding nothing, it resumed gnawing at whatever it was.
