But they felt like they’d been reborn, greeting each other like long-lost friends.
Rhya stood high. "I hate to interrupt, but we have work to do."
After silence, Rhya continued, "Licht hasn’t awakened due to the forbidden magic. I’ve prepared; please input your magic power into this device. Combined, it’ll break Licht’s seal."
Rhya placed a metal device with magical runes before them.
Rhya had lied; this wasn’t to break Licht’s seal but to store power for the resurrection magic. This magic merged souls and bodies; the difficulty lay in the immense magic power required.
The inventor was Sally, the Eye of the Midnight Sun’s mage scholar; Rhya had guided her. Combining the elves’ magic power would quickly gather the necessary power and prevent manipulation by the evil intentions.
