In the dark hallway, only the footsteps of the lone player sounded as they crept closer to the door of the boss room.

Fang Raon pushed open the doors and walked in.
A frozen chamber welcomed him with a chilling gust of wind. The walls were covered in ice, and icicles hung from the ceiling like deadly daggers.
At the end of the chamber, on top of an icy flight of stairs, there was a magical circle that started shining with a bright blue light.
From the magical circle, a creature covered in shaggy white fur rose up.
He had unusually long arms with large hands and feet—very oversized—and resembled an ape-like creature.
"Roar!"
Young Yeti roared with all his might.
It was taller than any human could wish to be, but it was still shorter compared to adult yetis, and he didn’t have the same muscular frame.
He was rather lean—skinny even—but the white fur was making him look bulkier than he actually was.
Fang Raon pulled out his refined sword and steel shield.
Was he starting to feel regret about coming here alone after seeing the Young Yeti? No.
Was he becoming nervous? No.
Was he becoming afraid? No.
He was simply extremely calm.

"...Huff."
Fang Raon sprang forward like an arrow released from a bow, and Young Yeti threw slow, hard-looking punches in his way.
The steel shield met the punches, and Fang Raon’s arm rattled like a jar of marbles.
Young Yeti was extremely powerful!

"Basic Slash!"
Fang Raon ran his blade across Young Yeti’s furry chest and shed some blood, but the beast barely seemed to notice.
Young Yeti punched into his shield and sent him sliding down the slippery ground.
The ground wasn’t completely covered in ice, but the frost was making it slippery, and he struggled to keep his footing.
’I need speed!’
Fang Raon’s eyes turned cold, and he rushed forward as if there was no fear in his body.
"Roar!"
Young Yeti met his rush with his punches, each blow landing with the force of a sledgehammer, and the shield in Fang Raon’s hand was struggling!
"Urgh!"
Fang Raon shifted the grip on his sword to a stabbing position and thrust it forward like a spear.
"Sword Stab!"
The sword pierced through the Young Yeti’s chest and made him cry out in pain.
The blood splattered all over Fang Raon’s face as he pulled the sword out.

In that moment, Young Yeti’s oversized hand grabbed Fang Raon’s shield and yanked it out of his hands!

Fang Raon’s eyes widened in shock.
Young Yeti punched him across his face—the head of Fang Raon snapped to the side—he staggered back with a bloody face.

Fang Raon shook his head to stay awake, and he quickly backed off and pulled out a healing potion from his inventory.
He gulped it in one go.

The door to Fang Raon’s room opened up, and Chaewon walked in to get a current check on his vitals.
She saw that his heartbeat had spiked significantly, and she curiously looked inside the Virtual Reality Pod.
The sleeping Fang Raon was lying there, but there was a frown on his face, and it seemed as if he was seeing nightmares or something.
’What is going on over there that has forced him to look so concerned?’

"Haa! Huff! Haa!"
Fang Raon rained slashes at Young Yeti.
Some landed, some missed.
Yet, the amount of small wounds and scratches had started to add up, and Young Yeti was bleeding more than sweating.
Young Yeti kept roaring and delivering the heavy strikes. They were all dangerous hits and could end the fight in just one hit.
That’s why Fang Raon wasn’t using the shield anymore to block those strikes, as it was just going to drop the durability of his shield.
Also, Young Yeti was slowly adapting to the fight and started to find ways to counter the shield.
"Hard Slash!"
Fang Raon hacked the sword into the Young Yeti’s shoulder, causing a deep gash in its fur.
This attack caused it to howl in pain and drop to its knees.

"Huff... The second phase..."
Fang Raon backed away and gulped yet another healing potion to recover his health and energy.
"..Grr"
Young Yeti growled menacingly, and he then turned around and walked to a small snow pile at the back.
He picked up snow, packed it into a ball, and hurled them at Fang Raon.
The snowballs were flying as fast as bullets and definitely faster than any arrow could!
"?!"
Fang Raon shielded himself with the steel shield, but the snowball impact still knocked him off balance.
Those snowballs were surprisingly heavy and packed quite a punch!
’Enchanted snowballs? I’ve heard about this second phase, and each snowball is able to cut off health by 30. It means if I only get hit thrice, I would already be dead!’
There were many ways players could defeat Young Yeti if they had ten players participating in the raid.
Fang Raon imagined a mage casting Earth Wall, and Rangers and Mages hide behind the wall and rain down arrows and spells on Young Yeti.
However, he was all alone.
’I do not care!
’I am ENOUGH!’
Fang Raon gritted his teeth and jumped straight into the jaws of death with only his shield and sword.
The snowballs kept hurling at him—some missed his face only by a hair’s breadth—the rest Fang Raon blocked with a shield or cut through with the refined sword.
At last.
Fang Raon reached the Young Yeti.
"Roar!"
Young Yeti roared and punched down—his fist, covered in the white fur, looked like a giant snowball coming straight at Fang Raon.
"Basic Parry!"
Fang Raon smacked the fist away with his sword, and it seemed like the time slowed down quite a bit.
Young Yeti’s pearly blue eyes looked at the shining blade of the refined sword and saw it coming for his neck.
"Hard Slash!"
The sword cut into Young Yeti’s neck, deep and sharp, causing blood to gush out.
"DIE!"
Fang Raon screamed.
