"Shit! We need to go, now! He’s too strong!" The incubus shouted.
"At least one of you has common sense."
"Shut up! I won’t fall to a filthy human slave!" The succubus snorted
"Again, not a slave. Just acting. And yes, you will fall to this handsome, sexy, fine specimen that’s called a human."
She scoffed. "You’re ugly as fuck!"
Zion’s smile faded, and his expression became serious.
The incubus walked back slowly, feeling the bloodlust coming off of him.
"Uhh, I don’t think you should have-" Blood splattered on his face, slightly seeping into his mouth. He paused, trying to understand what had happened. He saw that Zion was still in the same spot, but when he turned his head to his friend, that’s when he noticed it. Her head was gone, and blood was squirting from her neck like a fountain.
"I’m so fucked." He didn’t even try and fight back. He just dropped to his knees and accepted his fate.
"Why were you ordered to kill me?" Zion asked for the last time. He was hoping that after seeing what he was capable of, the incubus would spill everything he wanted, especially after losing his morale.
"Just kill me. I won’t talk."
"Whatever, I’ll just talk to Lilith about this." Right as he was about to chop off the guy’s head, a ball, no larger than an orange, flew into the room, right toward Zion’s head.
He caught it easily, not even looking at he did, then examined the ball.
"The fuck is this?" He asked,
Just as the incubus was about to say something, the ball erupted into a violent explosion of demonic energy and flames, completely engulfing the area and destroying that part of Lilith’s mansion.
While the incubus was vaporized, Zion stood unharmed, still in the same position as he was before the explosion.
He was irritated. He could understand the first and second assassination attempts, but two more after that were pushing the limit.
"Okay, Azmorath or whatever, you’re fucking dead!" He rocketed off into the air, flying at high speeds toward whatever place looked important. But he wasn’t able to fly for long as a large boot to the face kicked Zion down to the ground, a crater forming as he landed on the ground.
"Hahahaha! Come on! Show me what you got, human!" The demon shouted as he came down with a double hammer strike that was blocked by Zion.
"I’m seriously getting annoyed right now, so fuck off!" He punched the demon in the stomach, creating a loud shockwave that blew apart anything it touched.
"Gah!! Haha! Yes! That’s more like it! Fight!"
’Ugh, this guy reminds me of that one bastard I fought when the academy was attacked.’
"Carl, don’t get too ahead of yourself. You’ve already seen what he’s capable of. I know what he’s capable of." A familiar voice called out as she descended from the sky.
"Anastasia," Zion grumbled.
She smirked. "I’m honored that you remembered me. However, things won’t go the way they did last time."
While Zion was shocked to see her here, there was one thing that was really making his veins throb.
’Carl! Carl! Another fucking Carl! Fuckkk! I hate Carl! Tessa! Add him to the fucking list!’
Zion charged in, not engaging with small talk. He was furious, and he wasn’t going to let another person named Carl live, never!
"Woah!" Carl blocked Zion’s punch, but his arms shattered instantly. "Arghhhhhhhhhh!!!"
"Shit!" Anastasia joined in, creating a blood scythe to attack.
But Zion was quick, turning around, swatting the scythe away, grabbing her head, then slamming it onto the ground. The slam was so powerful that she bounced back up in the air, and Zion kicked her in the ribs, launching her into multiple buildings.
"You’re fucking dead, Carl!" With blitzing speeds, Zion arrived right in front of the demon, who was still in pain, Zion’s sword almost cutting off his neck.
’What the-" Zion turned to see a third demon, one that resembled an imp, appear right next to his face, casting a spell right in Zion’s face.
"Now you go bye-bye!" The imp shouted with glee, blowing up Zion.
Zion, however, was quick to react. His armor coated his body, protecting him from the blast, and knowing that he could get hit, Zion threw a knife with a rope attached to it into Carl’s throat, ripping his head off using the momentum from the blast to do so.
Now that Carl was dead, Zion turned his attention to Anastasia. "Anastasia, why are you after me? If you wish to get revenge, wait until later. I have other things to do."
"Are you ignoring me? What? It’s been a year, and you aren’t scared of me anymore? Do you think I’m a joke?"
"First off, I was never scared of you. And second," He appeared right in front of her. "You were always a joke." He blasted a hole right through her stomach.
The imp tried to fly away, but Zion caught it with his mana and crushed the demon to death.
"That was five. Five assassination attempts within the span of an hour. What the fuck is going on? I swear to fucking god if this shit is that stupid demon trial placement bullshit, I’m going to punch Lilith in the face."
"That would be unwise. She’s far stronger than you, boy. However, seeing as you survived this encounter, you aren’t as weak as we thought you were, and you clearly aren’t a slave. I wonder what Lilith’s planning."
[Zion! Be careful! The demonic energy reading I’m getting off that woman is insane! It’s comparable to Lilith’s!]
’Master, I’m ready when you are.’ Aryah said, preparing her power.
"You don’t have to worry, I’m not here to attack you. If I wanted, you would be dead already." The woman smirked.
"And you are?" Zion asked, preparing everything in his arsenal to attack or escape.
"Oh, where are my manners. Ahem." She bowed slightly, showing respect.
"My name is Elowen, one of the Archdemons of the demon world."
