Zion protected himself from the explosion, a triple-layered hexagonal holographic barrier shielding him from the blast that leveled the area they were in. The ground was charred, pure black, and the plant life was completely gone. Even the mountain ranges nearby were affected by the blast, some crumbling while others had a permanent scar on them.
The moment Zion dispelled his barrier, a scorching heat hit his body as if a bucket of lava had been dumped on him. The heat was so intense that if it wasn’t for his perfect mana control that protected his body, his skin would start melting off.
With a wave of his hand, Zion blew away all the smoke, steam, and debris that littered the air. In the center of the crater that was created by the explosion, the angel was gasping for air, his body severely burned, and his wings so damaged that he looked like a cooked chicken.
"Argh! Y-You fucking mortal!" He wheezed, rolling onto his stomach and clawing at the dirt to leave the crater.
"Hahaha! Look at you! You actually look like an overgrown chicken now. It’s perfect. Hold still, let me get a picture." He pulled out a phone that he had created a while ago.

’I am. They’re gonna get a laugh out of this. Wait, Wait, I should record as well!’
He toggled the recording feature on his phone.
"Sup y’all, Zion here. Check it out, an Angel. This bastard came down from the upperworld just to kill me, but look at him, he got deep fried! Hahahaha! Baaawwkkk, bawk, bawk, bawk, bawk, baaaaawwwwkkk! Hahahaha! Okay, see y’all later."
"You dare humiliate me?! I’ll kill you!"
Zion frowned. He turned toward the angel and saw that he was still climbing out of the crater, very slowly. For some reason, Zion just had the urge to fuck with him, so, he blasted the angel with mana, watching as he tumbled back into the crater.
"Sorry, intrusive thoughts."
Stepping down, Zion entered the crater and crouched. "So, gonna tell me who sent you?" He asked
"Suck my angelic dick."
"How about I cut it off instead?"
"AGHHH!! FUCKKKKKKK!! MY ANGELIC DICKKK!!!!!"
Zion looked down, frowned at the 2 inch dick, then looked back up at the angel. "Damn, man. I’m sorry. I bet you haven’t gotten laid in your entire life."
"Aghh, m-my mother says no woman is good enough for me"
Zion nodded. "You know, you have a good mother. Mine is like that as well. She’s more lenient, though. I have like, ten girls plus a shit ton who I have on the side. I even have a kid."
"Fuck you! I know you’re rubbing your experience in my face!"
"Ha, alright, I’ll chill. But for real though, who sent you? I won’t ask again." Now, Zion was serious, and his energy reflected that.
The air around them shook, and Zion’s presence made the angel suffocate as his power was too much to handle. However, the angel still didn’t waver.
"I-I would never b-betray my p-people!" The angel struggled to get out, his eyes full of pride and loyalty.
"Sigh, I believe you." Zion stood up and turned around.
"I believe you. I know you won’t tell me who sent you. Angels are creatures of honesty and loyalty, right? Different from demons or even us mortals. No matter what I do, you won’t break."
"T-That’s right! Angels also look out for each other, so if you know what’s best for you-"
"It was Karyndra, wasn’t it?"
The angel paused, his eyes growing wide and his breathing staggered. Panic filled his mind, trying to come to a conclusion as to why Zion knew that name, yet it couldn’t.
’How?! How does he know? How does he know that name?! Who is this person?! He’s more dangerous than we thought! I have to inform the others!’
Zion laughed. "I can hear your brain scrambling from here. As to how I know that name, you don’t need to worry about that, because you’re already dead."
Zion teleported behind the angel, grabbing both wings and pressing his foot on the angel’s back.
"Argh! W-What are you doing?!" The angel screamed in pain, trying his best to escape Zion’s grip.
"I told you, didn’t I? I’m going to shove your stupid wings down your fucking throat." A smirk spread across his face as he ripped the wings from the angel’s back, blood spraying everywhere.
"Aghhhh!!!!! Fuckkk!!!! My wingssssss!"
"Yeah, that’s right! Cry, bitch. And open wide." Zion used his aura force to hold up the wings and the angel. He then held both of them horizontally, opened the angel’s mouth while pushing him back a few hundred feet, then reeled him in at high speeds.
"OOOOO!! OOOOO!!! EAASEEEE! OOOOOOOOOO!!!! (No, no, please no!)" The angel screamed
But it was too late. He flew right into his wings, getting stuffed into his throat and piercing through his body, killing him in the process.
"Well, I’m sure Karyndra isn’t going to be happy that the person she sent to kill me ended up dying. I’m sure that they also have to follow the same rules as the demons and can’t send a more powerful angel, so that’s probably why this guy was a weak bastard." He kicked the body.
[You think she’s going to get revenge?]
"Eh, probably not. She can’t really do anything. Sending more angels of that strength level wouldn’t do anything but dwindle their numbers. They have to play the waiting game while we can have all the fun we want."
[So off to the dwarven kingdom then?]
"Nah, beastmen. I want to get that Nexus Pool under my control."
[Fair enough, I’ll inform everyone.]
As Zion was about to leave, the angel’s body exploded into a mass of white light, shooting up into the sky. Its body started dissolving into particles, traveling up that pillar of light as if it were returning to the upper world.
"What the fuck is happening?"
’His body is returning to the upper world. While demons don’t care for their dead, angels do, and they bring the bodies of their fallen back to their world for a proper burial ceremony.’ Luminera informed him.
Zion’s eyes lit up. "Interesting." Without a second thought, Zion touched the white pillar of light and was shot up into the sky.
