Beneath the hood of one, the sharp-eyed grin of Urahara was unmistakable. Behind him, Shihouin Yoruichi had reverted to her human form—long violet hair spilling down her back, brown skin glinting under the dim light, her tall, curving frame radiating quiet strength.
"Urahara, you're letting Shiraha handle someone like that?" Her golden eyes fixed on the Arrancar below. "That one's above even a captain's level."
Urahara's fan twitched open with a soft snap. He hadn't intended to follow Shiraha here at all, but Yoruichi's insistence—and her unshakable worry—had dragged him along. If Shiraha faltered, the two of them would move in without hesitation.
"Yoruichi, you underestimate him," Kisuke replied with a faint smile. "Shiraha's no ordinary captain. His Shikai's ability will surprise even you." His gaze drifted down toward the streets where Shiraha stood. "Let's see if this Arrancar can make him use his full strength."
Below, Grimmjow's Wang Xu's Flash blazed toward Shiraha. But as it closed the final meter, its furious speed slowed to a crawl, like time itself had thickened.
Granz's eyes narrowed. "Impossible… Wang Xu's Flash—stopped? What kind of Zanpakutō can do that?" Even Xiao Long's steady demeanor faltered. "No wonder the lord sent Grimmjow himself. That ability is dangerous."
Grimmjow's lips curled into a feral grin. "Not bad. You're worth the trip from Hueco Mundo, Shinigami."
Shiraha regarded the glowing sphere calmly. "So this is Espada's Wang Xu's Flash. Impressive." His Observation Haki traced the compressed energy—roughly between a vice-captain's full strike and an average captain's blow. Comparable, perhaps, to Siche Quanxi.
He drew the staff-blade at his hip, Armament Haki coiling along its edge, and cut. The blast split cleanly in two, dissolving into drifting reishi.
Reiatsu surged from Shiraha in a storm of violet and blue, rolling across the city. Grimmjow, Xiao Long, and Granz were the first to feel it—pressure so heavy it set even seasoned warriors on edge.
Granz's voice cracked. "How… how can a mere captain have this kind of Reiatsu?" His soul quivered beneath the weight. Xiao Long said nothing, but his own spiritual pressure flared in response, only to be smothered by Shiraha's dominance.
Grimmjow laughed outright. "That's it! You're the one I've been looking for. Granz, Xiao Long—fall back. He's mine."
They obeyed, sonido carrying them hundreds of meters away in the blink of an eye.
The ten Gillians that still roamed the streets roared in pain under Shiraha's pressure. Drawn to his immense spiritual power, they lunged to devour him.
Shiraha's voice was low and certain. "The humans are gone. No need to hold back—let's clean up." His senses told him what his eyes could already guess: Naruki City's people were gone, their souls already devoured by the Menos.
"Forty times gravity."
The invisible weight blanketed everything within two hundred kilometers. Gillians that once towered fifty meters cracked under the force, masks splintering, bone and flesh crushed before they could scream. In less than a heartbeat, they disintegrated into drifting reishi.
Buildings buckled instantly, reduced to powder and rubble, the very ground sinking tens of meters. Pits yawned where streets had been, ruins sliding down their sides. Naruki City vanished in moments, leaving only bare, scarred earth.
Grimmjow's body resisted through sheer force of will, Reiatsu exploding outward to brace against the crushing weight. Xiao Long and Granz weren't so fortunate. They hadn't reached safe distance before the pressure ripped into them, tearing open wounds despite their efforts to resist.
Glanz roared through the pain, forcing his blade upright. "Crush it, Prince Ashen Horn!"
Reishi swirled violently as his body began to transform—white bone crawling across his skin, forming the shape of a horned bull.
