The next morning as I stepped out, I ran into Liu Yueyue again.
But just like before, she lowered her head in embarrassment and scurried away as soon as she saw me.
Yet when I arrived at the traditional medicine clinic, I saw the old man who worked with me there with a look of distress, dealing with a group of people.
After listening for a while, I finally understood. It turned out these jerks were trying to shut down the clinic.
The reason was that the fire safety equipment wasn’t up to standard and we needed to close for rectification.

"Wang Weidong, stop being so unreasonable. We’ve broken up; I have nothing to do with you," Liu Yueyue shouted fiercely.
"Oh really? We’ve broken up? When did that happen? I wasn’t aware."
"Heh heh, Liu Yueyue, you better not forget that I’ve got lots of your photos in my possession. If you don’t behave, these pictures... They just might leak out. If something bad comes out of it, don’t blame me."
Wang Weidong laughed slyly, his words brimming with threats.
"Hmph, I’m not afraid of you."
"Is that so? Liu Yueyue, are you really not afraid?"
Wang Weidong scoffed coldly, "If it weren’t for me, who would make your videos, who would take your portraits?"
"You’re not thinking about relying on the blind guy next door, huh? Hahaha..."
"Wang Weidong, I must have been blind to have fallen for you. Get lost; I never want to see you again," Liu Yueyue screamed with all her might.
"Yueyue, don’t be angry. Let’s talk it out nicely."
Saying this, Wang Weidong reached out toward Liu Yueyue’s slender waist.

Wang Weidong, knowing he was no match for me, glared at me viciously before beating a hasty retreat.
"Miss Liu, are you okay?"
After driving those two guys away, I quickly came to comfort Liu Yueyue.
"Thank you, Xu Tian. I really didn’t know what I would’ve done without you."
"That bastard Wang Weidong, he’s such a scoundrel," Liu Yueyue said, looking at me gratefully and cursing Wang Weidong in passing.
But at this moment, I noticed Liu Yueyue staring at me intensively, a shy expression on her face.
Seeing her like that made me pause.
"Miss Liu, what’s wrong?"
