"At today's ceremony, only you and Duke Conte are qualified to be received."
"Charlotte" glanced at the luxurious carriage and slightly raised her eyebrows.
"She" looked at Charlotte, who was dressed as a maid, and said through Magic Transmission:
"Lord Charlotte, are you sure you want me to attend the ceremony in this carriage on your behalf?"
Charlotte glanced at him and using a small spell of Magic Transmission learned from Nisi, she asked:
"So, is there a problem for you?"
"Charlotte" hesitated for a moment and shook her head slightly:
"I don't have any issues as long as you don't."
"Me? Of course I have no problems, it's just a ceremony. As long as you do as I say and don't interfere with my plans, there will be no problems."
Charlotte transmitted.
"Charlotte" seemed to understand and nodded:
"Then I have no problems."
"Both of you, can we go now? If we wait any longer, the knights will realize something is amiss. The Romany Royal Family is very sensitive about impostors."
Charlotte then ended her communication with Albrecht; she gave him a look and Albrecht nodded slightly. Then, mimicking Charlotte's usual elegant manner, he took graceful steps and boarded the carriage.
Odosia, with attendants by her side, followed shortly but was stopped by a Royal Knight:
"I'm sorry, miss. The Royal Family's guest carriage is only for the invited nobles. Attendants have to ride in the carriage behind."
Odosia coldly glanced at him.
Feeling her gaze, the Royal Knight felt as if a terrifying beast had set its eyes on him, causing his scalp to tingle and his hair to stand on end.
He instinctively gripped his weapon tighter and stepped back, prompting the other knights to also brace themselves.
It wasn't until Yulster spoke up:
Odosia looked at him, and Yulster sighed, explaining:
"Lord Odosia, this is an old rule of the Romany Royal Family, but don't worry. The Roman Square is nearby; the carriage will reach the destination in three to five minutes."
As he spoke, he explained to the Royal Knights:
"Lord Odosia is Lord Castel's personal maid and guard, um... also a knight, I suppose."
The Royal Knights glanced at each other and relaxed. They bowed to Odosia:
"Knight miss, please accept our apologies."
Odosia snorted and boarded the second carriage.
The Royal Knights sighed in relief, thanked Yulster with a bow, and then escorted the two carriages away.
Watching the carriages turn a corner onto Roman Square for the ceremony, Yulster clicked his tongue:
"Today's knights are quite strict."
After saying that, he smiled faintly and said to Charlotte:
"Well, Lord Castel, your double has successfully infiltrated. Now, the next steps depend on us."
"Our carriage is also prepared, but for convenience, we need to take the back door."
Charlotte nodded her head.
She switched her gaze from the Royal carriage and quickly grabbed Nisi, who was trying to sneak away.
"Meow! Nisi just remembered there are other things to do! Nisi doesn't want to go!"
A chubby Black Cat struggled and cried out desperately.
"Hmm? Lord Nicholas is also going?"
Yulster raised an eyebrow as he watched Charlotte lift the Black Cat by the scruff of its neck.
"His magic is quite good; he might be useful."
Charlotte stated succinctly.
Under Yulster's schadenfreude gaze, Charlotte forcefully brought Nisi into Yulster's carriage, then headed toward Roman Square from another direction.
Meanwhile, the Royal Knight-escorted guest carriage also arrived near the viewing stand…
However, inside the guest carriage, the passenger was not only "Charlotte."
"Hehehe, Count, if you don't want your pretty little face scratched or, worse, inadvertently slit your delicate throat in my nervousness… please be a good listener."
A masked figure in black robes held a sharp dagger to "Charlotte's" pale neck and chuckled in a hoarse voice.
"She" looked at another figure dressed in a Mage Robe, seemingly not too weak, and then at the person in front of her, threatening with a dagger, who seemed to be around the same level as the mage, possibly of the Blazing Sun caliber. She softly whistled and curiously, yet somewhat eagerly in Charlotte's voice, asked:
"Is this... a kidnapping?"
