Charlotte had a very, very long dream.
In the dream, she crossed into an otherworldly noble girl, hung on a crucifix by her evil grandmother.
At the critical moment, a powerful force erupted within her, awakening her own strength, and brought back ancient memories.
She remembered who she was.
She was Charlotte, yet she was not Charlotte.
She was the ancestor of the Bloodline, the source of all Bloodline descendants, the nightmare of the gods, the ruler of darkness and the Blood Moon, the Eternal Night King...
She saw herself seated high upon the throne, receiving the subjugation of all beings.
Bloodline descendants worshipped her, and mythical beings bowed their heads to her.
She saw herself standing at the pinnacle of the world, looking up at the dazzling sun in the sky, her golden-red pupils filled with complexity.
She saw herself raising her right hand to grasp toward the sun, and the next moment... the universe inverted, darkness devoured the sun, and a massive Blood Moon slowly rose.
Suddenly, Charlotte saw "herself" stop moving.
A pair of cold golden-red eyes looked over, and an emotionless voice asked,
Charlotte was startled in an instant.
And the next moment, the entire "dreamscape" shattered abruptly.
An intense feeling of weightlessness came upon her, as if falling from the sky, but soon the weightlessness disappeared, and her bodily sensations rapidly returned.
Then, the acrid smell of blood and the scent of burning wood assailed her.
The ground shook violently, a wild wind howled in her ears, and Charlotte heard angry shouts and roars from all around her, the terrified pleas and screams.
A fierce shout came from behind her, and Charlotte instinctively stretched out her hand to block, but when she opened her eyes, she saw an ugly humanoid monster looking at her in astonishment.
The monster's face was wrinkled, with four arms, dressed in simple leather armor, holding an elf-style greatsword, which was chopped on Charlotte's arm.
More precisely, on Charlotte's wrist.
However, there was not a single scratch on Charlotte's wrist, while the monster's greatsword had been chipped.
Feeling the force on her arm, this thought naturally flashed through Charlotte's mind.
She hadn't even defended herself, simply raising her arm instinctively because she hadn't felt threatened at all just now.
However, when Charlotte sensed the monster's aura, she was slightly startled.
The monster... was a tier-entering man.
Not Silver Moon level, but at least late-stage Starry strength.
The monster's body surged with Magic Power, already hinting at an outward release, and the greatsword faintly shimmered with a silver light, the previous slash was definitely empowered by Magic Power and delivered with full force.
Yet, to Charlotte's senses, being struck by the monster's sword felt almost like being tickled...
Charlotte found it absurd.
For a moment, she even wondered if she was still "dreaming."
However, she quickly realized what was happening.
It wasn't that the monster was too weak.
It was her own strength... that was too strong.
Charlotte looked down at her body.
She was wearing the Enchanted Mithril Skirt Armor she had painstakingly chosen before entering the crystal coffin, and at her waist hung a delicate elven rapier.
Both the skirt armor and the rapier pulsed with Blood Divine Power, which she had infused into them before her slumber; these two items were already Divine Artifacts.
Clearly, just as during her first "crossing," the "equipment" she wore had come with her upon her "awakening."
But the state of her body was clearly different than before her slumber.
Within Charlotte's body, copious Magic Power flowed, continuously intertwining with her blood, creating an endless network inside her.
At the center of this network was her rhythmically beating golden heart, within which a pool filled with Blood Divine Power connected to her Magic Power, forming a delicate balance. Within that pool, golden-red flames burned fiercely, the Divine Fire that Charlotte had ignited.
A faint glow encircled Charlotte, the subtle light emitted by the Blood Divine Power interwoven with her Magic Power.
Under that faint light, Charlotte felt her body was as strong as an iron bastion.
No, it wasn't just a feeling; it was a fact.
The notch in the monster's greatsword was proof.
Charlotte had never felt her strength to be so immense.
Unlike during "True Ancestor Liberation," she was not activating the power of the Blood Holy Scripture at the moment, yet she still had a sensation almost akin to that during "True Ancestor Liberation."
This left Charlotte momentarily uncertain about her current realm and strength.
She wanted to start the Blood Holy Scripture to check her status, but, unsurprisingly, the Holy Scripture was sealed again, with the vast majority of its power inert.
However, while many powers of the Holy Scripture remained inaccessible, Charlotte felt a strange sensation that now, even without using the Blood Holy Scripture, she could still wield some abilities similar to it.
Confirming her body's status was only a moment's effort.
Perhaps merging with the Faceless Divine Statue had further enhanced Charlotte's spiritual power; her thoughts sped up and were now somewhat comparable to during "True Ancestor Liberation."
