Bloodline of the Wizard Chapter 59

Chapter 59: Chapter 59 Kill!

Nephilim’s Key Chapter 59: Chapter 59 Kill!

Nephilim’s Key Ronan clutched his magic wand as he stepped out of the hut, only to find the sky outside ablaze with fire.

The sky over Hoddam Academy and Dwarf Market was burning red, the fire so fierce that it illuminated half the night sky, and the center’s mist seemed to disperse slightly, revealing figures darting urgently in the firelight.

Located on the outskirts of the town, Water Drop Street was where Ronan stood, unable to see precisely what was happening at the site of the fire, but he could feel the chaos spreading.

Many people were running out of their houses, faces filled with panic and fear.

Old Wells hurried over, shrouded in the night.

Ronan shook his head, about to say he wasn’t clear himself.

Just then, another, more intense boom sounded as if from afar.

Ronan turned sharply to look, seeing at the town’s center that several huge fireballs were born and instantly transformed into vast rings of fire upon collision with something.

Even from this considerable distance, Ronan felt as if he could sense the scorching heatwave coming his way, imagining the terrifying high temperature as the fire rings spread…

“Official Wizard Level Expert…”

Ronan’s expression was one of shock, murmuring in awe.

Shortly afterward, various news began to filter through from ahead.

Black Robed Wizards from Silent Forest are in the town, killing everywhere!”

“The Academy has fallen!

The Black Robed Wizards are attacking!”

“Run for your lives!..”

Within moments, the Grey Robes of the lower class scattered across the street, gossiping and inquiring, were in turmoil, escaping in all directions.

Although Ronan was reluctant to believe that Hoddam Academy could be overrun overnight, there was no denying that he was indeed affected.

“Quick, go back and tell the others to pack up.

We’ll meet on the street!”

Ronan discussed swiftly with Old Wells, who departed quickly.

Ronan’s worldly possessions were mostly on him; there was virtually nothing to pack.

He turned back into the hut to quickly gather a few items he hadn’t had time to put into his Waist Storage Bag then saw Old Wells and others hadn’t arrived yet.

He listened to the continuous explosions rising nearby and the faint cries and screams in the night…

After a thought, he leaped forward and climbed to the rooftop of the highest nearby house, standing atop to survey his surroundings.

Beneath the flickering firelight, Wandering Grey Robes scurried in a panic, the chaos accompanied by blood and slaughter.

Suddenly, Ronan’s eyes narrowed.

With his exceptional vision, he clearly saw a shadow flickering like a night bat, several streets away, hands scattering a large swath of mysterious green that scattered like will-o’-the-wisps, causing any Wandering Grey Robe that got close to fall silently to the ground.

In just the brief moment that Ronan had been watching, seven or eight Grey Robes had their lives taken by the shadow.

Ronan felt an unidentified rage rising from within, his fists clenched beneath his Magic Robe, wanting to charge forward, yet his rationale restrained him.

In an instant, he lost sight of the shadow in his view.

The next second, a tall, thin figure clad in a Black Robe appeared on a rooftop four or five houses away from Ronan.

Beneath the Black Robe, a pair of cold eyes cast towards him, their gazes silently meeting.

Ronan immediately cooled his emotions, eyes fixed on the Black Robe, legs tensed, ready to retreat.

But just then, an intense sense of danger rose from behind him, accompanied by a sharp whooshing sound…

The snow-covered pointed rooftop exploded in the moonlight.

Ronan performed a backward somersault to land steadily, the wide hem of his Grey Robe falling like the wings of a big bird.

In his right hand, he held the magic wand that had appeared out of nowhere, slowly rising to his feet with a gloomy expression as he faced two figures that had appeared before him.

Besides the thin, tall shadow seen on the rooftop earlier, completely concealed within the long Black Robe, face unknown,

There was also a Bald Man with a pale complexion and cold eyes looking at him, bearing residual traces of spell casting, clearly the one who had sneak-attacked Ronan with a spell.

The three stood silently in the desolate Water Drop Street, the pale moonlight casting no warmth on the snowy street.

Those Wandering Wizards who had packed up and were ready to flee, stepping out the door and seeing the three faces off in the street, were suddenly unsure what to do.

They stood there, looking terrified, not daring to move.

A timid voice came from behind, but was quickly silenced by someone.

Even as Ronan tried his hardest to appear unaffected, Cheryl’s call clearly drew the attention of the others.

The gaze that had settled on Ronan shifted, looking past him to the direction behind him.

He could almost see the smile hidden beneath the Black Robe, followed by…

The opponent raised both hands, releasing countless green phosphorescent lights from beneath the Black Robe.

Ronan barked back at Old Wells and the others behind him, simultaneously propelling forward with his feet, charging at the two Black Robes ahead like an arrow.

Several dark green Corrosive Light Balls flew towards him.

Ronan’s eyes surged with an icy fierceness, his empty left hand under his robe lifted slightly, spiritual power surged out, and the cold wind carrying bits of broken snow formed a small vortex between his grasping fingers, a point of profound light rapidly expanding and finally flung out forcefully by Ronan!
