“Jiang Jingcheng, have you lost your mind?” Gu Yan yelled at Jiang Jingcheng as soon as she walked out Huarun Real Estate, “Why can’t you just talk to him! We’ve lost a big client! We are in trouble now!”
Seeing Gu Yan being in anger, Jiang Jingcheng didn’t say a word and opened the car door. Gu Yan thought that arguing at the gate of the company wasn’t good, so she got into the car.
No one spoke on the way back to the studio.
Jiang Jingcheng wanted to relax the atmosphere. But when he looked at Gu Yan’s sulky face, he had no idea what to say.
When they arrived at the studio, Gu Yan got out of the car before it stopped steadily. Jiang Jingcheng parked the car and hastily followed Gu Yan into the office.
“How old are you? Why are you so emotional to deal with matters! Do you know how much the damage caused by losing this client?” As soon as Jiang Jingcheng closed the door, Gu Yan began to criticize him.
“He is misbehaving, and we would rather not cooperate with such a client!” Jiang Jingcheng refuted Gu Yan.
“What’s going on here?” In the heat of the argument, they didn’t realize there was another person in the office.
“Why are you still here?” Gu Yan quelled her emotion and then asked Mo Yichen who sat on the sofa.
Watching Jiang Jingcheng being embarrassed, Mo Yichen felt good but still kept his countenance. He said, “Xiangyan wants to have dinner with you, so I pick you up for dinner. Tell me what’s going on. Why are you so angry?”
“Something was wrong, and the case with Huarun Real Estate went up in smoke.” Although Gu Yan was much more relaxed when Mo Yichen mentioned Xiangyan, she still didn’t feel good about this matter.
Jiang Jingcheng knew that Mo Yichen was waiting for him to take a pratfall in front of Gu Yan, so he just snorted.
“I’m afraid we can’t eat together. I have lots of things to deal with. I can’t leave them behind.” Gu Yan felt a little guilty. She had to figure out the matters of her studio, but she promised Xiangyan in this morning that she would take him to eat delicious food. She really didn’t want to break the promise.
“Let’s go. Anyway, you don’t have a clue now. I can ask Liang Shaohun. Maybe he can help you.” Mo Yichen persuaded. Gu Yan agreed and nodded. Since Liang Shaohun helped them to get the case, it was more helpful to ask him.
“I am too worried today. I shouldn’t yell at you. And I know you are worried, too. I’ll ask Liang Shaohun if he knows how to do. So, you can get off work now. Things have come to this stage, so there is no need to stay here.”
Looking at Jiang Jingcheng who stood aside with anger, Gu Yan knew that she was impulsive just now. Jiang Jingcheng had lost his temper because of her, so she blame herself for criticizing him.
“I am fine. You go first. I’ll see if there is anything I can remedy.” Jiang Jingcheng said and breathed a sigh of relief after seeing Gu Yan soften. “There is always a solution.” He said to Gu Yan and himself.
Gu Yan nodded and walked out of the office with Mo Yichen.
“Don’t be angry. It’s just a case. We can have another one after losing this. Anger is not good for health.” Mo Yichen comforted Gu Yan while driving.
“Each case is very important to our studio, and it is our painstaking effort. But now, how can I explain it to my employees?” Gu Yan looked out the window and frowned. She was still worried about it.
“Liang Shaohun owns you a favor, right? I’ll call him to figure it out! Get all the cases back for you!” Mo Yichen said. He wanted Gu Yan to be happy, so he jested and called Liang Shaohun.
“Hello, Yichen, what’s up?” Liang Shaohun answered the phone quickly.
“Gu Yan’s cases have all gone wrong, and Party A companies all want to terminate the cooperation. You need to find out what happened. Now it’s time for you to pay back the favor!” Mo Yichen said.
“What? Who dares to make trouble for my case? Wait. I’ll call you back after I figure it out. Tell my sister-in-law not to worry. I will give her an answer.” Liang Shaohun sneered. He wanted to see who dared to beard the lion in his den.
“Don’t worry, Shaohun will figure it out. Don’t be sullen.” Mo Yichen didn’t want Gu Yan to be unhappy. He said, “If you are still sullen, I’m afraid that you will scare Xiangyan later!” Mo Yichen had no choice but to mention Xiangyan.
Sure enough, her face looked better. Xiangyan was discharged from hospital today, and she couldn’t disappoint him. Gu Yan said, “Where is he? Shall we pick him up now?”
“I have arranged people to take Xiangyan to the restaurant. Maybe he has already arrived.” Mo Yichen answered as he drove, “Right away. The restaurant is round the next bend.” As if Mo Yichen had seen through Gu Yan’s doubt, he answered directly.
Gu Yan smiled and just stared at the scenery passing by outside the window.
Mo Yichen drove the car into a small alley and stopped at an inconspicuous courtyard. He said, “Here we are.”
They walked in one behind the other. Before they entered the private room, a tiny figure ran out. “Dad, Aunt Gu!” Xiangyan hugged Mo Yichen’s thigh, and then Mo Yichen lifted him on his neck. At this time, Gu Yan dismissed the unpleasant thoughts in her mind and looked at them with smiling eyes.
Mo Yichen finally breathed a sigh of relief for her joy.
While they were eating dinner, Liang Shaohun called. Mo Yichen signaled Xiangyan to be quiet. Then he answered the phone and turned on the hands free, “Is there a result?” He asked placidly.
“Of course. It is my father’s enemy. He was jealous of a wonderful thing my father did before, and wanted to make some trouble. But how could he get the goods on my dad?”
Liang Shaohun paused, and then said, “So, he made trouble for me. Essentially, it is my problem. I tell you first. I will surely figure it out before dawn. Let my sister-in-law rest assured!”
Hanging up the phone, Mo Yichen looked at Gu Yan with a smile and said, “You can feel relieved now.”
After hearing Liang Shaohun’s words, Gu Yan felt a little relieved. But she still asked, “Will it put Shaohun to any trouble?”
“Not at all. I do want to bother him. Now we can have a good dinner, right?” Mo Yichen joked. Gu Yan was absent-mindedness during eating, so Mo Yichen thought that Liang Shaohun’s call was really timely.
Hearing his joking, Gu Yan blushed.
After dinner, Mo Yichen held Mo Xiangyan who was rubbing his sleepy eyes.
“He is so sleepy. Let’s take him home. It’s late. Your mother should be worried about him.” Gu Yan said.
After taking Xiangyan to Li Yunhong’s home, they went home. “Take a walk?” Gu Yan asked.
“My pleasure.” Mo Yichen smiled and took Gu Yan’s hand.
“Thank you, Yichen.” When Gu Yan saw that her hand was in Mo Yichen’s hand, her heart was touched. So, she held Mo Yichen’s hand tightly.
