Gu Anxi repeated these words, then gave a light laugh. "Alright. If you can persuade your Uncle Qin to abandon the acquisition of Bishui Yuntian, I won’t run for student council president."
Qin Siyuan appeared as if from nowhere. He pulled Shen Wanqing aside and spoke softly, "The Qin family is determined to acquire Bishui Yuntian."
Gu Anxi replied in a nonchalant tone, "I’ll wait."
As she turned to leave, Qin Siyuan watched her retreating figure, his fist slowly clenching.
Shen Wanqing was beyond excited. She lightly bit her lip and whispered, "Siyuan, have you come around?"
Qin Siyuan said flatly, "Let’s go."
He brought Shen Wanqing to the Qin residence, where she would now live. However, she wasn’t given Gu Anxi’s old room; instead, she moved directly into Qin Siyuan’s bedroom.
Although the Qin family had a new member, the household was rather subdued. Qin Siling had returned to Beicheng. Furthermore, Wang Keru and Shen Wanqing didn’t get along and thus rarely spoke. Qin Siyuan was also in low spirits, making the entire atmosphere oppressive, so Shen Wanqing felt quite stifled living there.
Tomorrow was the day the Qin family would travel north. Qin Siling had already booked first-class tickets for a direct flight to Beicheng. The family gathered to discuss this important matter.
Qin Han placed great importance on this trip north. He was bringing his secretary and his wife. Shen Wanqing hadn’t been overlooked either; a variety of clothes and jewelry had been prepared for her. After all, her painting had been sent to the auction house, and it was up to her to uphold the Qin family’s prestige.

After the Qin family meeting, Qin Han went out for a social engagement. Wang Keru, finding herself with some free time, drove to the hospital. Gu Anxi was in the laboratory with Bo Xichen, so Feng Mian greeted Wang Keru and poured her a glass of water.

Wang Keru’s mind went blank. She immediately stood up, paced a few steps, then asked dryly, "Just the two of them?"
Feng Mian said cheerfully, "That’s right, just the two of them."
Wang Keru collapsed onto the sofa.
It’s over! My precious cabbage has been snatched by a prize boar!
Seeing this was about enough, Feng Mian, looking even more delighted, said, "Oh, didn’t the little one tell you? Dr. Bo teaches her surgery. They should be about finished by now. I’ll go take a look."
Wang Keru instantly let out a sigh of relief. "Oh, so it’s surgery!"
Feng Mian, suppressing a chuckle, went to get them. A moment later, Gu Anxi came out in surgical scrubs. She removed her mask. "Mom, what brings you here so late?"
Wang Keru pulled her aside for a private word. "I’m going to Beicheng tomorrow and will probably be gone for three or four days. You need to take good care of yourself, understand?"
