He hummed thoughtfully, taking the painting to admire for a moment. "This is very much in the style my father likes."
"It’s not for your dad." Gu Anxi took the painting back from him and repacked it.
Bo Xichen smiled, leaning to one side. "Then tell me, who is it for?"
Gu Anxi lowered her gaze. "It’s for an old man."
The amusement in Bo Xichen’s eyes deepened as he leaned in, whispering into her ear, "Gu Anxi, you’re getting more and more skilled at riling me up."
"I am not." She continued packing the painting, grumbling softly, "Just now, Mom held me, unlike someone... who needs to go to great lengths for a little reward."
Bo Xichen’s heart burned hotly, and he grew troubled. How could he tell her— She was so young; he didn’t dare to always be so close to her. She didn’t understand men at all!
