As Gu Anxi listened to him casually recounting their past, she apologized, "I’m sorry, I... don’t really remember this."
Bo Xichen chuckled. "That’s fine. You might remember when you sleep here tonight."
Gu Anxi pushed him away, her face a little flushed. "Um... I’ll sleep in the guest room."
Bo Xichen pulled her back, whispering in her ear, "Gu Anxi, I will sleep in the guest room tonight."
Perhaps he hoped that she wouldn’t feel estranged in a space imbued with his scent.
Later, he coaxed her into taking a nap. He briefly visited his parents and Grandpa He, where he was teased quite a bit. By the time he returned to the Orchid Room, Gu Anxi had woken up. She was stretching her arm out from under the blanket, still radiating warmth.
Bo Xichen spoke softly, "Get up and eat something. I’ll take you for a drive down the mountain."
She murmured an "oh," then looked at him.
Bo Xichen asked, "Do you want me to leave?"

Fengxi was extremely jubilant:

Bo Xichen couldn’t bear it any longer. He went over, flicked a few switches, and set Fengxi to ’Cold Mode’.
Gu Anxi was curious and went over to look. "She has different modes? By the way, why is she female? And why is she called Fengxi?"
Fengxi’s voice was robotic:

Gu Anxi glanced at Bo Xichen. "Are you sure she’s in ’Cold Mode’ now?"
Bo Xichen abruptly switched off Fengxi with a CLICK. "She started talking a lot more after you appeared. She wasn’t before."
Gu Anxi said slowly, "Bo Xichen, have you ever considered that she might be jealous?"
But Fengxi really does seem jealous!
Bo Xichen swiftly switched Fengxi back on, then turned Gu Anxi by the shoulders, pressing her against the door panel. He leaned in to whisper, "Let’s try, hmm?"
Gu Anxi froze for a moment before realizing, then smacked his shoulder. "Bo Xichen!"
His voice was particularly husky. "If you keep struggling, we’ll have to switch locations..."
She resisted again briefly, but then he completely subdued her...
When they left the bedroom, Fengxi’s voice was still ringing out:
[So embarrassing~ So embarrassing~]
Gu Anxi quickened her pace by several steps. Bo Xichen merely smiled indulgently. Only after he coughed lightly did he say, "Gu Anxi, you’re going the wrong way."
She trudged back reluctantly, looking a bit ruffled.
Bo Xichen patted her head. "It’s quite big here. Don’t wander off."
She murmured a quiet "oh" and followed him to the outer room to have dinner with his parents and Grandpa He. The meal was quite enjoyable. Bo Xichen’s father was quite composed, while Bo Xichen’s mother piled Gu Anxi’s plate high with all the delicious dishes, encouraging her to eat more and put on some weight.
After dinner and chatting with the elders for a while, Gu Anxi expressed her wish to visit her teacher’s wife. Grandpa He was naturally delighted. He immediately decided that Bo Xichen should drive, partly to take Grandpa He along, and partly so she could conveniently visit her teacher’s wife.
Gu Anxi had traveled a long way and originally planned to buy gifts outside. But as soon as Bo Xichen’s mother heard they were visiting an elder, she immediately and thoughtfully selected suitable, proper gifts from her own collection and pressed them into Gu Anxi’s hands.
