Wang Keru stared at the phone for a moment before answering, her voice cold, "What is it?"
Qin Han’s voice was grave on the other end. "Keru, let me ask you one last time: are you absolutely set on this divorce?"
"Of course," Wang Keru said firmly. "I believe I’ve made myself perfectly clear."
Qin Han scoffed. "You think moving back to the Gu family’s villa and having a daughter like Gu Anxi changes anything? Bi Shui Yun Tian will sooner or later belong to the Qin family. Besides, Gu Anxi probably isn’t even your biological daughter. Even if she becomes wildly successful, what good will that do you? Keru, you need to be more realistic."
Wang Keru laughed coldly. "Do you think our Anxi is as heartless and ungrateful as you, Qin Han? We’ll see each other in court."
With that, she hung up.
On the other end, Qin Han’s eyes narrowed as he stared at his phone for a long moment.
Qin Siling, standing nearby, looked somewhat anxious. "Dad, how did it go? Did she change her mind?"
Qin Han shook his head.
Qin Siling heaved a long sigh. "What happened at school today hit Si Yuan hard. I never imagined Gu Anxi had that kind of ability."
"Just ’some ability’?" Qin Han shot her a look, then narrowed his eyes. "Once we get our hands on Bi Shui Yun Tian, we’ll need a chemistry genius. That’s how we’ll make the real fortune!"
Qin Siling’s eyes widened. "Dad, are you saying Bi Shui Yun Tian holds some secret?"
Qin Han chuckled softly. "Otherwise, why would the Qin family go to such lengths to obtain it?"
