Matilda slowed to a stop when they were sufficiently out of the master wing, her complexion pale.
"Why didn’t you arrange for that Omega to never be allowed in?" She demanded of Arthur.
The butler looked worse off, sweat beading on his brow. Not only had his arch nemesis returned but he had also managed to piss the Master off.
"He wasn’t supposed to come back," Arthur bit back, his mood just as sour as Matilda’s
While they pointed fingers at each other, Savannah and Natasha stood off to the side, Savannah’s friend looking like she had something to say.
"But yet, he did," Matilda said through pressed lips, fighting the urge to tear out her hair.
It was almost like the thieving, gold-digging Omega had a mole inside the mansion.
Because nothing else could explain why he had shown up right at the height of Davian’s rut.
"And he’s currently with Davian who’s having his rut!" She half-screamed, the situation was much worse than she feared.
"Um..." Natasha spoke up nervously, "This is probably not a good time but I feel like I should mention that that male Omega was pregnant."
Her words drew everyone’s attention to her, a frosty silence filling the hallway where they were having the conversation.
Natasha knew next to nothing about what was going on. Savannah had just called her over that she might have a plan to set her up with Mafia King Davian, and she had jumped on it
Who was the male Omega? No one looked happy to see that he was back.
And who was he pregnant for? From the horrified looks on everyone’s face as she said that, she could guess who.
Natasha didn’t know that Mafia King Davian was in a relationship. She wouldn’t be here if she did.
"W-What did you say?" Matilda asked in a dry whisper.
She could see everything she had planned for crumbling to the ground with that single word.
"I could smell it on him," Natasha added, taking a step back.
"I should also... I think I should leave," She said with a distantly polite expression, giving her friend a knowing look before walking off.
Matilda staggered a bit, she had been too caught up in the male Omega’s appearance to notice anything about him.

"Can’t you do anything about this?" She complained to Arthur, "You run the mansion, you should be able to get rid of him."
Arthur didn’t say anything to her, turning around and walking off.
He didn’t care about their plans to get important positions in the Black Mafia family, they weren’t exactly allies to him after all.
So them rising up to powerful positions would be detrimental to him.
He was, however, more worried about Lake’s return. He couldn’t stand how everything done to him turned out favorably.
It was almost like Arthur was single-handedly pushing him to the Master’s side.
He couldn’t even say how things would turn out after Master Davian found out Lake was pregnant, because the Mafia King always acted out of character when it came to the Omega.
Matilda watched Arthur walk off with a sneer on her face. She knew the butler wasn’t trustworthy but she didn’t know he was also useless.
If he couldn’t do so much as keep a single maid out of the mansion then she would have to get rid of him... The maid included.
"Yes," Lake answered, bracing himself for what would come next.
Davian however didn’t respond, his head drooping, and when Lake tried to get free of him, his arms had gone slack.
Lake watched Master Davian flop backward to the bed, his breathing heavy, his face flushed.
His transfixed gaze dropped lower, down his muscled torso and to his towel that did nothing to preserve his privacy.
The hard outline of his dick beneath the white towel had Lake gulping as he looked back to Davian’s face, the Alpha looked downright feverish.
He slowly moved closer, worried despite himself. Was it normal for an Alpha to have frequent ruts?
It had just been two weeks since the last one, he was sure ruts weren’t supposed to happen that often.
Lake placed a palm on Davian’s face, the Alpha leaned into his touch, his eyelids fluttering like he was struggling to keep them open.
Master Davian looked much different at the moment, nothing like the intimidating Mafia King he was before.
And Lake really wanted to lean into the thought that he was the reason why but he knew better than to be self-centered, especially when he was dealing with a Mafia King.
"You practically have a fever," He tutted, scolding him slightly. "And you just took a shower."
Davian’s dark hair was damp and he was in a towel, it was easy to deduce that he had just stepped out of the bathroom.
Lake didn’t understand what Savannah and another Omega had been doing in his room, but they didn’t look happy to be in there, and neither did Davian.
Lake made a move to get off the bed, getting Master Davian off was probably a more efficient way to cool him down but he was going to pretend like that option didn’t exist.
He wanted to step into the bathroom to grab a towel and a bowl of water to attempt to cool him down.
He didn’t get very far...
Davian caught him by the waist and pulled him back on him, for someone who trembled like a leaf in the wind, he sure had a lot of hidden strength.
"Don’t go," The Master wheezed, and Lake felt doubly bad for him.
"I’m not," Lake muttered, struggling to break free and then giving up when he realized he was trapped.
He sighed, this wasn’t what he envisioned when he returned to the mansion. He was supposed to sit tight in Master Davian’s room and have a level-headed conversation with him when he eventually returned.
They were supposed to come to a decision that would benefit them both. Lake didn’t care much what happened to him, he just wanted his baby to be alright.
