Carrying a Jurassic on me Chapter 319

The Suchomimus charged aggressively, but as they closed in, they found themselves unable to spot the bipedal creature.

Then, suddenly, an Iguanodon appeared beside them. Although they were usually prey for the Suchomimus and smaller in size, took advantage of their pursuing momentum, and struck their bodies. It sent them sprawling.

What a scene! These giant dinosaurs, each weighing several tons, fell flat on their faces, rolling in the dust in confusion. They wailed and growled, kicking up clouds of dust that billowed around them!

Yan Fei, the Iguanodon standing in the back, found it too funny not to laugh at them. But his joy quickly turned to annoyance when he realized he had lost several pieces of his cloth.

In his mind, Yan Fei fancied himself a swordsman, but he didn’t have a sword in his hand. Even if he did, he didn’t believe the thin sheet of metal would inflict much damage on these thick-skinned, rough creatures.

So, when the Suchomimus charged at him, he transformed himself.

Acting cool came at a cost. He had not prepared adequately when he entered and was too busy striking poses. Without paying attention, a set of his new clothes was completely ruined.

Without his wife watching, he wondered why he was putting on such a show in the first place!

The ensuing frustration was entirely bestowed on the three Suchomimus. They were kept in a constant state of agitation, being knocked down before they could stand up or kicked when they chose not to. The dominant female Suchomimus backed away with her children, ready to escape the scene.

When Yan Fei finally reverted to his human form, he held one foot on the neck of the leading Suchomimus. Learning from their previous encounters, the Suchomimus lay on the ground, too scared to move.

The other two dizzied by their falls, managed to get up but only dared to whimper from a distance; they didn’t dare to approach.

Seeing the subdued Suchomimus beneath his foot, Yan Fei relaxed and took a few steps backward.

The creature, having learned from its past beatings, realized Yan Fei stepping back meant it could escape. It immediately stood up, called out to his family, and dashed away with a cloud of dust behind him.

As for whether it would come back-- it’s better if it did, which would create fewer problems for Yan Fei in the future. If it didn’t, he could always beat up any unfamiliar dinosaur that comes next.

After the herd of Suchomimus left, Yan Fei transformed into a Kronosaurus, planning to catch a big fish for a hearty meal. Just like everything else, too much of dinosaur meat, giant salamander, and devil frog made him crave for a change. The variety of fish available provided him just the diversity he needed.

When the Onchopristis moved in packs, every other fish would hide. Now that they did, it made catching one a lot easier.

He didn’t recognize most of them but did recognize a shark. Yet, exactly because he did recognize it, he chose not to catch it. It was said that Shark Fin was delicious, but he did not know how to cook it. He decided to give it a shot when he figures it out in the future.

Last time, he didn’t handle the Onchopristis well, and it tasted strange. This time, he decided to adopt a trial-and-error approach, tasting one fish type after another.

As for the possibility of fish being poisonous, he didn’t care. As a monster himself, what did he have to fear about poison?

He glanced around for a while, and after selecting a good-sized fish, brought it back to his greenhouse.

Looking at the rows of small vegetable seedlings on the ground, he was filled with a sweet sense of accomplishment.

He strolled lazily around the greenhouse. As he walked, water started spewing from his palms, providing every seedling they passed by with ample water.

Mastering this technique required him to spend several nights practicing. Now, it was like he had an everflowing tap right at his fingertips, a feat which brought him tremendous convenience.

After watering the field, he took a round at the earthworm shed. The cow dung was still relatively wet, so he didn’t add more water.

If all these could generate a stable income in the future, and once he had figured things out, he could continue building. Of course, by then, there would be no need for him to work this hard. He could turn this entire piece of land into a vast greenhouse and earthworm shed, hire some helpers, and everything would be much easier.

As he emerged from the building and looked up at the crescent moon that had just risen, he felt a pang of loneliness. He decided to run to the cattle farm, bringing San Hei and Si Hei, the two large dogs, back. He planned for them to accompany him and watch over the greenhouses in the future.

Da Hei and Er Hei weren’t picky about food, which made the cattle farm the perfect feeding ground for them. These two, on the other hand, were slightly picky, so they had to be brought to the wilderness for quality food, a fitting sacrifice for their preferences!

There was another purpose to bring them over, to acquaint them with Vegetable Garden Island’s three puppies to the new environment. It was essential for the pups to remain with their parents on Vegetable Garden Island to learn some survival skills.

Yan Fei watched the family of five dogs becoming familiar with the new surroundings and felt quite satisfied.

The old man from the nearby bamboo forest, who had agreed to a deal with him, trusted Yan Fei after seeing his daily constructions. He barely stayed there at night.

The wilderness had no electricity, and there wasn’t a soul in sight, who would want to live there? Yan Fei could understand. But why take the dog away? As though to suggest Yan Fei would slay the dog? Yan Fei had no intentions to kill and eat the old man’s pathetic dog.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t afford to reveal the three grown-up dogs from Vegetable Garden Island yet. The feeding would be too troublesome. Hiring someone else to feed the dogs could prove problematic, so for the time being, keeping two dogs was sufficient.

If not, he would have definitely taken the old man to see his five dogs tomorrow, to let him know that his miserable little dog should have been butchered and eaten long ago.

One moment he was satisfied, the next he felt frustrated.

While eating the fish, Yan Fei contemplated whether he should just find a place and start farming the fish he frequently ate. The taste of these unfamiliar fish was entirely dependent on luck.

Poor fortune was definitely lurking around as the second fish he attempted to taste did not prove to be a hit.

He did not have much of it at the end, so the five dogs got most of it.

While the five dogs were eagerly waiting for the steaming chunks of fish meat, Yan Fei built them a big enough shelter. The added benefit was that he could use the extra pieces of asbestos tiles he had lying around.

After all the work, viewing the fruits of his labor--the two greenhouses, Yan Fei felt a sudden relaxation throughout his body.

During the busy days, he would often patrol the vicinity every other day. He hadn’t done it in a while but now, instead of carrying out a patrol, he decided to rest and went straight to bed in his cabin.

To be fair, the National Day was only two days away, the officers at the police station were far more troubled than he was. He was just keeping up with the routine, flying around from time to time felt good. Without doing so for a long time, he felt as if something was missing.
