The driver was boasting, completely unprepared for Yan Fei’s comment, which left him feeling uneasy. Despite Yan Fei’s question, he subconscious shook his head, "I am not a Wu, I am a Song and a cousin of our Manager Song..."
Yan Fei burst out laughing, "I was worried you were a Wu, like the legendary Wu Song who is famous for wrestling tigers! Now I can rest easy. When I count to three, you better hurry into the car, or else this tiger might catch you...Three!"
Yan Fei had achieved his aim, which was to show his wife just how shameless this guy was and prove that he wasn’t being irrationally hostile towards strangers. At this moment, Yan Fei was intentionally stirring the pot, kindly conversational one moment, and sternly shouting the next.
What was even more outrageous was that he scratched the tiger’s head, indicating the driver when the tiger looked up.
The tiger then got up, took a few steps into the open area. First, it lay low, stretching lazily, shaking its head before focusing its gaze on the driver Yan Fei had pointed to.
The driver finally got it. What Yan Fei had just pointed out was the chain holding the tiger! He had seen people sick dogs on others, but this was the first time he saw someone unleashing a tiger!
"Holy crap!" the driver yelled, and then turned and sprinted.
The driver shouldn’t have run. His doing so prompted the tiger to give a low growl before leisurely giving chase.
Like owner, like tiger, how clever Yan Fei’s tiger was! The tiger understood Yan Fei as if it were human. Although tigers usually pounce silently, this one even growled as it trotted along, intentionally scaring the driver to the point of peeing in his pants and running for his life.
Moreover, the dirt road wasn’t easy to run on. The driver hadn’t made it far before tripping and falling, even tumbled a few times. Ignoring any possible pain, he quickly scrambled up and continued to the car.
And then even more hilarity ensued; the driver, out of breath, reached the car, couldn’t open the car door in his urgency and beat the car window furiously, shouting: "Cousin, quickly open the door and let me in!"
After shouting, he noticed his cousin was looking horrified at something behind him. Turning around, he screamed and collapsed to the ground.
The tiger was right behind him, eyeing him up with no good intention, probably considering from where to bite!
His cousin, Manager Song, finally reacted, he opened the car door, but the collapsed driver was leaning against the door, making it impossible to open.
Manager Song was horrified, he wanted to shout at Boss Yan, but the tiger was right there. All he could do was whisper to the driver, "Don’t move, if you move, the tiger will pounce..."
But was not moving the right choice?
The driver wanted to move but couldn’t.
He watched as the tiger approached and pinned him with one paw. His suit was instantly ripped. The tiger, claws pinning him down, opened its mouth and stared at his head.
Seeing the claw that was thicker than his arm and the sharp teeth in the tiger’s gaping mouth, the driver ended up...soiling himself!
The tiger sniffed, looking down, its expression seemed to mock the driver. It stepped back and then gave a roar.
This roar was truly befitting of the so-called king of the beasts. The driver’s eyes rolled back into his head, and he passed out.
The car door was quickly shut.
Even the tiger was taken aback, it just wanted to scare, not make someone faint! What should it do next in this performance?
Again, Yan Fei came over. He first kicked the driver on the ground to check that he was just unconscious and not dead, then turned to Manager Song in the car and said, "We’re just country folks, so is my tiger. We can’t stand the likes of big managers like you. If you visit us again, it might actually bite."
With that, he patted the tiger’s head, and both man and tiger returned towards the big tent with dignity.
Xu Xiaoyan and Heizi had run over to the children, Xu Xiaoyan calming the children, "Don’t worry, don’t be scared. This was a tiger chasing man performance. The older kids understood that this was a prank on the two adults, but some younger ones ran to the two men as suggested and asked seriously: "Uncles, will you come again to let us see the tiger chasing after you?"
