The less hopeful they were, the more shocking it became when they saw the reality!
A village bumpkin came with a group of people who looked weak, sickly, and few of them seemed ordinary. Yet, the cattle they raised were comparable to the breeding bulls the institute had meticulously bred for over a decade. The contrast was overwhelming, and their hearts were pounding.
Two middle-aged men wearing glasses instinctively took off their glasses, breathed onto them, thoroughly wiped them, rubbed their eyes before putting them back on, and looked again at those carefree breeding bulls.
Two of the breeding bulls were lying down, but as the weather was warm, the sheds were open, and one could see them from the entrance. A few researchers didn’t wait for Yan Fei’s invitation; they didn’t even notice the foreigner, they almost ran over and peered inside - not seeming to look at the bulls, but rather any leftover feed that they could taste.
Even the slowest of the Sancha River villagers caught on!
We may not understand everything, but by looking at their reactions, our cattle farm seems to have regained some of our lost pride - how much, they weren’t sure.
