Leonard Churchill’s interest was immediately piqued upon hearing this.

But even that old man himself couldn’t explain what it was.

After a pause, he smiled and added, “That old man Barre Shepherd has pointed out a clear path to ‘Divine Power’ for everyone. And coincidentally, my ability can be considered a shortcut on this path.”
Leonard Churchill knew that this legendary master was about to mentor him, and earnestly asked for guidance, “So, senior, what exactly is Divine Power?”
Merlin responded with a mysterious smile, “Before that, let me ask you a question.”
He paused before asking, “What do you think ‘Will’ is?”

Yet at present, I estimate that the naked eye sees less than 5% of the ‘world’; Will, however, is humanity’s sixth sense. It allows one to perceive a world beyond the reach of the other five senses. It’s like the gods in legends, invisible to the average person, indescribable, ineffable. Strictly speaking, it’s a limited perception. Your ‘Intention’ cannot describe what it doesn’t understand, so you ‘cannot see’ it.”
Soaked in thought, Leonard Churchill listened attentively.
This was not the first time he had heard such ideas.

This question heightened his curiosity, and Leonard Churchill shared his guess, “Is it like ‘Air’, attached to the entire body?”
Merlin shook his head, “No.”
Pointing to the research bench, he didn’t answer directly but instead asked again, “What shape do you see this lamp being?”
Leonard Churchill glanced at the hexagonal Alchemy Lamp, his voice uncertain, “Hexagonal?”
He knew that the master’s question couldn’t be so simple.
Yet, he couldn’t think of any other answer.
Merlin didn’t indicate right or wrong, a glint of wisdom flickering in his eyes as he continued, “Then what shape is this lamp… on that piece of paper?”
Catching onto something, Leonard Churchill responded, “Like a twisted leaning tower.”
Merlin nodded, then asked, “But is that twisted shape the true form of the lamp? And are you certain that the hexagon you see is the lamp’s true form?”
Faced with consecutive questions, Leonard Churchill was again deep in thought.
Without holding back any longer, Merlin revealed the answer, “‘Will’ or ‘consciousness’… is the projection of the Soul onto the flesh body.”
A flash of insight seemingly thundered through Leonard Churchill’s mind, his gaze frozen.
And he understood why Master Merlin had asked about the lamp.
The lamp they saw with their eyes was hexagonal, but its projection on paper was an odd, contorted shape.
Even what they saw with their eyes might not be entirely accurate, possibly distorted by cognition.
Seeing this, Merlin struck while the iron was hot, “Will is the projection of the Soul on the body, and to cognize where it resides means having a stable Personality. And when you comprehend Divine Power, it signifies a rise in your status. On a Soul level, this is essentially the distinction between the status of ‘Personality’ and ‘Demigod’…”
For the first time, Leonard Churchill had such a clear perception of “Will”.
What was once an elusive feeling now became describable, even something he could attempt to control.
It was as if a lamp lit up in the darkness.
His thoughts now had a clear direction.
Suddenly, he was immersed in a strange state of epiphany.
Merlin had already guided him to the correct path and continued to explain, “The world humans see is not necessarily the real world. Therefore, ‘Will’ is a vital Transcendent perception mechanism for understanding the universe. The stronger this perceptive ability, the faster your Law Comprehension…”
He paused for a moment, and finally articulated what Divine Power really is.
Merlin declared, “‘Will’ can be strengthened and tempered. Make it firm, having a form of its own. Those so-called ‘Steel Will’, ‘Immovable Will’, ‘Flame-Like Will’… are actually expressions of this tempering process and result. And once its final form stabilizes, that Will can be called… Divine Power!”
