Mo Roulan frowned when she felt a touch on her cheeks.
"Lanlan..."
The gentle voice made her smile for a moment and snuggle to the warmth that embraced her, more and more.
However, the warmth suddenly moved away and she felt the touch on her cheek again.
"Lanlan, open your eyes. It is not early now."
With a frown on her forehead, Mo Roulan opened her eyes. A pair of blue eyes filled with amusement came in her sight immediately.
He Jian felt amused to see her face all wrinkled like a bun because of being woke up. He stroked her head gently as he said
"Let me drop you to Chi Mansion. Then sleep there."
He would not mind having her sleep here. However, he knew that she would mind. It was a very big thing for her.
By now, Mo Roulan was also starting to realize where she was. Her eyes went wide and she asked He Jian in a slightly loud voice.
"What is the time?"
He Jian looked towards the clock while Mo Roulan had already started to look for her purse.
"It is nine."
Her heartbeat went fast when she heard this and she hurriedly unlocked her phone.
Looking at so many missed calls, she felt guilty and immediately called back.
The call connected very soon and she heard the person speaking on the other side.
"Roulan, where are you? Are you alright? Why were you not taking the calls?"
She could clearly sense the worry of the person on other side.
"Uncle Chi, I am very sorry. I am alright. I ...came out but my phone was silent. I forget to text anyone...I am very sorry."
A sigh full of relief seemed to be sound in Mo Roulan’s ears filling her heart with guilt.
"Cancel the ticket."
She heard Chi Rong speaking lightly on the other side and was shocked as she asked
"Were you going to come back?"
"Yes. Chenchen called me two hours ago to tell me that you had not returned and he was very worried. I also tried to call you and you were not picking the calls so I..."
Chi Rong stopped speaking and sighed again and Mo Roulan lowered her head in shame though he was not in front of her.
She heard him speaking again in a very gentle voice.
"Roulan, be careful in the future. I have no problem with you going out. But inform me or at least Chenchen, okay?"
"Yes"
She said immediately.
"I will inform you always, Uncle Chi. I am very sorry for whatever happened today. That was very irresponsible of me."
She admitted her mistake and Chi Rong was satisfied to hear her words.
After a moment, Mo Roulan decided to ask about her mother. It had been two days since she talked to her mother last.
"Uncle Chi, is mother around? Can I talk to her?"
Chi Rong was silent for a moment before she heard him say
"Qianru is sleeping, Roulan. She was very tired because we visited the beach today."
"Beach..."
Mo Roulan whispered as a smile spread on her lips. Her mother must be enjoying there. That was good.
"Then Uncle Chi should also rest. I am very sorry for making you worry."
"It’s alright. As a father it is my right to worry about you and Chenchen. Text me after you reach the mansion."
Mo Roulan assured him that she would do the same and finally cut the call. By the end of the call, her heart was filled with warmth. It was perhaps the longest conversation she had had with Chi Rong and she could feel that he was really trying to make effort for them.
"Lanlan, is everything alright?"
Mo Roulan came out of her trance and nodded her head seeing worried He Jian. She told He Jian about whatever happened and the latter immediately picked up the car key to drop her to Chi Mansion.
On the way, she texted Mo Chen telling her brother she was alright.
However, a part of her wished to talk to her mother. She had not stayed without her mother for such a long time in the past few years.
Mo Roualn decided to call her in the morning.

Shen Mansion
The dining table was silent.
Shen Yiling ate silently while Shen Zhilan and Grandfather Shen were, again and again, looking towards the living room.
It was only after a few minutes that the person they have been waiting for entered.
Wang Weimin entered the dining room with his phone in his hands. When he approached the dining table and saw Grandfather Shen looking at himself with hope-filled eyes, he shook his head with a grim expression on his face.
Grandfather Shen’s face fell and even Shen Zhilan didn’t look any better.
She pushed the plate away and said in frustration
"I don’t understand why is He family doing this with us. In the end, it was Grandfather He who had come to us with the marriage proposal and we backed away silently from the marriage when He Jian said no, right?"
Shen Yiling who heard the mention of He family immediately raised her head. She looked at her mother who looked completely different from usual. These days, her mother looked exhausted and returned late from the company.
She was aware that something was wrong at the company but she didn’t know what was wrong.
Was He Jian doing something?
"What does he want? I will just call him and ask."
Shen Zhilan stood up from the chair as if she was going to do whatever she said just then.
Shen Yiling’s face went pale when she saw this.
She looked at her mother’s back and looked at her father and grandfather.
"I will go and see Mother."
Saying this, she immediately ran towards her mother’s room.
Her eyes went wide when she saw her mother was indeed calling someone. Stepping forward, she snatched her mother’s phone and said
"Mom, don’t do this. What if you made Brother Jian angrier?"
However, Shen Zhilan was persistent. She tried to take her phone back from her daughter and said
"Yiling, give me my phone. Let me just ask him. If all this continued then our Shen Enterprise will go bankrupt."
However, Shen Yiling furiously shook her head and didn’t give back the phone. In the end, Shen Zhilan was her mother, and soon realized that something was wrong.
She stared at her daughter and asked suddenly
"Yiling, did you do something?"
