Inside the unlit room, the sound of heavy breathing could be heard. On the bed, Shi Fengju was sleeping but his sleep was anything but peaceful.
His body was covered with sweat.
There was an expression on his face that made him look as if he was in extreme pain. At this moment, Shi Fengju was having the nightmare of his life.
A few moments later, he suddenly opened his eyes which were completely red and filled with shock. Slowly he sat up on the bed and looked around the room as he continued to breathe heavily.
His clothes were sweat soaked but his attention didn’t go to them at all.
A tear suddenly trickled down his cheeks and he sobbed slightly.
All of it started on the day he had a small accident. He didn’t get any injuries but his head collided with the steering wheel and he had gone unconscious for a few hours after that.
Since then, he was having dreams...very weird dreams which made him feel that everything happening in front of him was real.
In those dreams, he saw Mo Roulan, He Jian, himself and his friends...and Shen Yiling.
On the first day, he saw himself, Liu Ji Fan, and Fang Zhihan insulting Mo Roulan whenever He Jian was absent. He saw how Mo Roulan cried secretly after he and his friends insulted her ...but she never complained about them to He Jian.
After having this dream on the first day, Shi Fengju thought that him in his dreams was very cruel to Mo Roulan. But he had not thought much because he thought that it was merely a dream.
However, as more days passed, the dreams continued and he saw a new scene every day.
He saw how he and his friends created misunderstandings in He Jian’s mind regarding Mo Roulan. In the end, He Jian indeed started despising Mo Roulan.
Mo Roulan was finally sent away.
However, what happened after that was seen by Shi Fengju today only.
He couldn’t believe whatever he saw.
Three days ago, he was thinking that everything he saw was a dream but today he felt as if everything in his dream had happened once...somewhere in the past.
It felt so real to him.
But if it really happened, then would he ever be able to forgive himself?
Shi Fengju couldn’t even breathe when he remembered the red blood he had seen in his dream. He also remembered Shen Yiling’s laughter as she had told him
"I killed her...Hahaha....Brother Fengju, I killed her and her child. Haha....now Brother Jian will be mine."
Shi Fengju also saw how Shhen Yiling manipulated him every time. Her only aim was getting He Jian anyhow and he like a fool helped her in doing so...even if it meant harming an innocent girl who was not even aware of what was going on.
The sound of the phone’s ringtone filled the room and Shi Fengju flinched as he came out of his trance and looked towards the bedside table.
He saw that it was Shen Yiling who was calling him but unlike in the past, he didn’t jump to answer the call. Instead, his eyes flashed with disgust and he switched off the phone.
After that, he lay down on the bed and stared at the ceiling with blank eyes.
He was still confused about whether whatever he saw was real once or only a dream. But what he knew was that he would never be able to look at Shen Yiling in the same manner he looked at her before.
In his mind, he had already started to ponder on how she had called him only when she needed him to get any information about He Jian.
And two years ago also, Shen Zhilan went to see Mo Roulan’s mother who died the next day.
Shi Fengju wondered if Shen Yiling had her hand in this.
While thinking all this, sleep overcome his body but his sleep was not destined to be peaceful from now on.
The nightmares of his past life were going to haunt him for a long time.
Shi Fengju was to bear the fruit of the sins he had done unintentionally or intentionally.

Inside a room that was much smaller than in which she used to live before, Shen Yiling was seared on the bed which was also smaller and less comfortable than the previous one she used to sleep on.
She couldn’t believe that Shi Fengju didn’t pick up her call. Her eyes were wide and filled with anger as she stared at her phone which said that his phone was switched off.
How dare he!
In the past, he would pick up her call within a few seconds. What happened today?
She however didn’t have time to think about this. She needed money, that too, quite urgently. She had seen a very beautiful dress in the shopping mall today.
She was thinking of wearing it and going to the party about which she had received hidden information. He Jian was going to attend the party.
In the past two years, she had been trying to approach him. However, she never got the chance. He had not attended any party or banquet in these two years. In fact, even the media didn’t know where exactly he was.
Hence, when she came to know about this, she immediately decided to attend this party but to attend the party, she needed a beautiful dress.
Hence, she wanted some money from Shi Fengju. He had been giving her money for the past two years.
But this was the first time, he didn’t pick up her call.
Shen Yiling clutched her hair in frustration, wondering what she should do.
Her mother and grandfather would not have the money and even if they had, they would ask hundreds of questions regarding what she will do with it.
So how was she going to buy the dress?
Shen Yiling’s eyes brightened up suddenly and she immediately picked up her bag. To save herself from doing any job, she had started her studies again and she was going to skip today’s class.
But now she was going to attend it.
After all, she needed money.
