The morning of the hearing of case, Mo Roulan suddenly received a parcel.
She closed the door of her hotel room and stared at the parcel in confusion. On opening the parcel, she found her phone inside it.
She understood that it was sent by He Jian.
As soon as she unlocked it, she saw a message from He Jian.
It asked her to come to the nearby restaurant.
Mo Roulan scoffed.
As if she was just going to follow what he said ...but as she read the message left by him further, her face went sombre.
In the end, Mo Roulan picked her purse, and exited the hotel room.
Almost fifteen minutes later, she was seated in front of He Jian.
Her face was devoid of any emotion, however, He Jian could see the irritation in his eyes because of his continuous stare.
He smiled as his own eyes filled up with amusement.
"Say whatever you want to otherwise I will leave."
Mo Roulan said coldly.
He Jian nodded his head at her words but his eyes still didn’t move away. A moment later, he continued
"I present a deal to you. Stay with me for six months after that...if you didn’t wish to be my wife then you can divorce me."
It could be see that Mo Roulan didn’t like the deal as her nose was literally flaring in anger.
"What do you even think of yourself?"
She whispered harshly.
"You can force me to do anything you want me to do?"
He Jian still looked calm. He pushed a paper in front of Mo Roulan as he spoke
"Filing divorce case in the court would not lead to anything. You won’t have anything to say in your favour. Even if you claim that I forced you to marry me how will you make them believe it. Will you reveal to them about the lie regarding your mother?"
Mo Roulan stiffened when she heard it.
What he said was actually reasonable.
Chi Rong had said to her that he would not hesitate to reveal the truth about her mother if it was necessary to save her from He Jian.
But Mo Roulan didn’t want this.
Her mother was not awake and Wang Weimin could return any time and claim that the divorce between him and her mother was not real.
They could also face severe punishment for creating a fake act about her mother’s death and betraying the court.
Mo Roulan was not afraid about herself but for Chi Rong. She knew that when the time would come, Chi Rong would take all the blame on himself.
And it was he only who had spoken in the court.
So Mo Roulan wanted her mother’s being alive a secret as long it could be kept a secret.
She came out of her thoughts when He Jian continued speaking
"This document have my words in writing that after six months if you would want to leave me...I will let you go."
Mo Roulan looked at the paper and picked it up a moment later.
She looked through the whole document and found that it indeed said what He Jian had told her.
But was she ready to live with him for six months?

Chi Rong smiled when he opened the door and found Mo Roulan standing outside.
"Roulan, I was going to come to your room to call you. Wen Xuan is here. We will leave soon."
Mo Roulan lowered her head and bit her lips before she raised her head and said
"I want to take back the case, Father."
Chi Rong was shocked when he heard that.
He pulled Mo Roulan inside the room and closed the door.
When Mo Roulan stepped out of the room, her eyes were red and a frustrated Chi Rong could be seen seated on the bed.
Wen Xuan also looked quite helpless.
A few minutes later, Mo Roulan could be seen going out of her hotel room with a suitcase.
She stepped out of the hotel where a car was waiting for her. Chu Feng opened the door for her and helped her with her suitcase.
As she sat inside the car, she saw He Jian but soon moved her eyes away and continued to look outside.
Mo Roulan was still not sure about her decision but she didn’t have any other way as well. She couldn’t let Chi Rong destroy his life for her sake.
She would never be able to forgive herself for that.
A part of her heart was also scared that she would let herself go in emotions.
What if she forgot the consequences of being with him?
No! She can’t let that happen.
Her family was more important than her heart.
And she would always remember it.
When the car stopped outside He Mansion, Mo Roulan came out. She took her luggage from Chu Feng’s hands and ignored He Jian who tried to help her.
He Jian sighed as he followed her.
Mo Roulan did see He Zhuang and Grandfather He in the mansion but she ignored them and looked at Chu Feng as she asked
"Where is the guest room?"
"You will stay in my room."
He Jian said firmly before Chu Feng could answer. The words made Mo Roulan frown but before she could complain, He Jian continued speaking
"Otherwise we can break the deal."
Mo Roulan clutched the handle of her suitcase before she gritted her teeth and asked
"Where is the room?"
"Come, I will show it to you."
He Jian said gently as he took her suitcase from her hands when she was not paying attention and started walking ahead.
Mo Roulan could only follow him silently.
Behind them in the living room, He Zhuang who saw this scene shook his head. A moment later, he took out his phone and exited the living room as he dialled a number.
As soon as the call connected, he took a deep breath before he called out
"Mom"
