The man was frustrated when no one came to help him so, in the end he himself stepped forward and started to hit He Jian’s back with his fists.
"Leave my son! He is your brother. How can you hit your own brother like this!"
The man said furiously while Mo Roulan who heard such words for the second time was left confused again.
At the same time, she was angered by how the man was hitting He Jian on his back. She didn’t even mind the fact that he was elder than her and kicked him in his leg before He Jian could shove him away.
"Ow..."
The middle aged man groaned in pain and fell down on the ground. Holding his leg, he glared at Mo Roulan fiercely.
"Jia, stop right now!"
It was He Zhuang who ordered his son coldly.
By now, the man He Jian was beating had already stopped protecting himself indicating that he was unconscious.
People were looking at this scene with wide eyes.
He Jian heard his father’s voice and stopped but his cold eyes never moved away from the unconscious man.
The middle aged man forgot his pain and immediately crawled to his son. Putting his head in his lap, he patted his cheek and then raised his head to look at He Jian as he said angrily.
"He is not waking up. If something happened to him, then I won’t leave you alive, you bastard! I demand compensation right now."
Mo Roulan who had felt sympathy for the middle aged man for a moment suddenly felt stupid. She had thought that as a father he was worried for his son. Regardless of how disgusting his son was, she could understand his pain and worry.
However, hearing his words, she felt disgusted by the middle aged man as well.
His son was beaten to the point that he went unconscious. Instead of taking him to the doctor urgently, he was here demanding the compensation!
The man was so greedy.
He Zhuang ignored the middle aged man.
Instead, he turned to the guests and said politely
"I hope all of you understand that the situation is not fine for now. Mr. Xeros, I apologize but I will have to stop the party here."
Mr. Xeros nodded his head in understanding. Mrs. Xeros still looked shocked by whatever happened.
Still, she could understand what had happened.
Seeing Mo Roulan’s bruised cheek and how He Jian was angry, she nodded her head in understanding and spoke before her husband could say anything.
"It’s alright, Mr. He. Family is more important."
She even turned to look at Mo Roulan and smiled warmly.
"Please take care of yourself, Mo Roulan."
Mo Roulan smiled tightly and nodded her head as she whispered a small thanks for her concern.
The guests left slowly and the huge hall started to get empty.
He Zhuang looked at his assistant and said coldly
"Send him to the hospital."
"Yes, Boss."
Within a minute, two men were dragging the unconscious man to a car and he was taken to the hospital.
The middle aged man however who claimed to be the father of the unconscious man didn’t follow his son and looked at He Zhuang and He Jian with anger filled eyes but once he saw how He Zhuang was looking at him, he flinched and lowered his head unconsciously.
"What are you doing here?"
He Zhuang asked in a deathly cold voice.
"Who allowed you inside the party?"
The middle aged man raised his head when he heard the question and exclaimed.
"Who are they to stop me? I am He Zhing...a member of He family. Why can’t I and my son attend a party of He family?"
He Jian looked at the middle aged man with surprised filled eyes before he looked at his father.
He Zhuang was still looking at He Zhing as if he wanted to kill him.
"You and your son doesn’t belong to my He family. We have already give you what you deserved as an illegitimate son so don’t show your faces anymore here. Go to the hospital where your son has been sent and then leave China when he is able to walk...otherwise consequences won’t be good for you, He Zhing."
He Zhing wanted to argue but he seemed to know that He Zhuang would really do what he was saying.
So he could only keep his anger inside his heart and walk out from there.
He Jian however frowned seeing this scene. He was clearly not satisfied with what his father said.
"Dad, he hurt my Lanlan."
Mo Roulan heard He Jian’s words stilled when she heard ’my Lanlan’. Her heart started beating fast inside her chest again before she took a deep breath and said coldly.
"I am alright."
She was actually shocked by whatever she heard.
He family had an illegitimate son. She never knew about any such thing.
Just now, He Jian beat the man very badly. Looking at He Zhuang’s expression, she had a feeling that if she took this matter further, then it might lead to the spread of the fact that He family had an illegitimate son.
From what it looked like, not many people knew about this.
He Zhuang looked at Mo Roulan when he heard her and said
"Let’s take you to see a doctor."
His voice was quite polite and different from how coldly he spoke usually. Mo Roulan had a feeling that it was his way of expressing thanks to her.
But before she could say anything, He Jian held Mo Roulan’s hand and said to his father coldly
"There is no need. I will call the doctor at home. Lanlan needs to rest."
Saying these words, he took Mo Roulan out of the party hall with himself.
He Zhuang sighed when he saw this.
It could be seen very clearly that He Jian didn’t like that He Zhuang was letting He Zhing and his son go away so easily.
But as a man of He family, he needed to take decision keeping in mind that He family’s reputation doesn’t suffer in society.
