'What just happened?' Wuxing thought in his mind as he stared at the doors, waiting for Katherine to leave. He needed answers but also wanted to scold her.
He considered her as one of the smartest in the group and she knew he had Dongmei already. What she just did could potentially bring him troubles. Unfortunately, she was drying her hair for a long time and before she finished, the knock to the door came which pulled him away from Katherine.
"Sir, the order is really big. Shall we bring it all at once or stretch it over time?" The waiter asked as he brought various dishes on a metal trolley, ready to bring them inside the room and help with the plates.
He considered it a standard procedure so the waiter didn't even ask, just looking at Wuxing as if he was asking why was he blocking the way.
"You know what, just bring them over the next thirty minutes. Girls are still playing in the pool." Wuxing replied with a smile before taking the trolley from the waiter. "I will take care of this. I don't think girls want to be seen naked."
Just as he said so, the two of them could hear Anna laughter.
"Haha, you can't escape me! Your boobies are mine!" This one sentence allowed the waiter to imagine what could be happening inside, causing an immediate blush.
"Thanks for understanding," Wuxing called out as he pulled in the food inside the apartment and closed the doors in front of waiter's face. Wuxing didn't want him to see anything by accident.
He turned around to push the trolley and saw Katherine peeking at him from around the corner.
"Do you need help?" She asked yet still came up to him to lead the trolley towards the dining table like a mom who holds your shopping cart when you want to push it alone.
Seeing that the girls were still in the pool, Wuxing stopped the chart and looked sharply at her.
"Katherine, wait a minute, we didn't finish talking." Wuxing couldn't just leave the earlier matter and brush it aside. "Explain yourself."
"Didn't I already do it earlier?" Katherine muttered as she tilted her head to the side, acting like she didn't understand him well. "Is there a problem?"
She was all calm, as tranquil as still water, making Wuxing feel like he was actually weird. Her arms were wrapped under her breasts which were covered in a comfy over-sized red hoodie. She used it as a dress which looked extremely cute on her but that couldn't save her from Wuxing.
"Of course there is a problem," Wuxing called out with his tone down as he walked up to her and pulled her behind one of the pillars. "You kissed me, knowing I'm already with Dongmei."
Wuxing switched to whisper as he didn't want anyone to hear them before they figure it out. He doesn't want Dongmei to accuse him of cheating when he is clearly a victim.
"Look…" Katherine grabbed onto his shirt while looking into his eyes. "It's clearly you who have a problem. Do you see me panicking? I told you it's the one and only time, didn't I? You know I don't date with guys as all of them are scared of me. I was saving my first kiss for someone I love yet you stole it from me…"
Hearing her put the situation like this and seeing her upset expression, Wuxing actually felt bad. Was it his fault from the start?
"No, it was an accident. Don't blame me for that—" Wuxing quickly set his mindset straight but Katherine decided to disrupt his thoughts again.
She pulled him closer, giving their lips a few centimeters of the distance between each other before pouting.
"Take responsibility…" She whispered, pushing his mind at the edge of emptiness.
"What…?" He asked quite dumbfounded, first time for a while. Fortunately, Katherine was only playing around with him as she quickly laughed.
"Haha, your face expression was hilarious." She raised the corners of her lips as she released his shirt before fixing her hair so it doesn't fall on her face.
Her hidden playfulness which almost never surfaced was now clearly visible on her face. She bit on her lip and grasped on his chest to tease him more.
"Did you like it? Maybe it's you who want to taste me again, huh?" Katherine didn't actually understand why but she didn't dislike teasing him like that.
"Katherine, stop." Wuxing had to halt her actions, catching her wrists and looking sternly at her. "You are crossing the lines we shouldn't cross. Let's forget about that kiss."
Who would have thought that Wuxing's words would actually be a key to make Katherine interested? For her, a word stop didn't exist. She did what she wanted and in that particular moment, crossing the limits was exciting for her.
Life without challenges was just boring. The more Wuxing didn't like her to do something, the more eager she was to disobey.
"Oh, am I? How exactly?" Katherine muttered with a naughty smile, acting completely different from her usual cold self. "So you can touch me and I can't touch you?"
No one could see them at that moment so it didn't matter.
"I'm just stopping you from doing something you will regret." Wuxing rolled his eyes and finally let go of her hands. "Here, you are free."
Wuxing was actually overwhelmed by the situation so he wanted to brush it away and forget about it, having Katherine promise that she wouldn't repeat it again when she caught his wrists right after he freed her.
"I never regret what I'm doing." Katherine reverted her face back to her calmness, strongly pulling on his body. With slight leg movement, they suddenly exchanged places with Wuxing being the one with his back against the pillar and Katherine not letting go of his wrists.
"Can't we just say that this situation never happened and continue living how we used to?" Wuxing asked, tired of their current fight. He didn't expect Katherine to be this unreasonable.
"No. We can't." She immediately shook her head. "I want you to remember it clearly. You will ruin my memory if you forget about it."
Wuxing was already indifferent so he shrugged and bantered with her, "Too bad. I already forgot." He didn't expect that she was actually strong enough to force her way on him and directly pin his wrists into the wall.
He couldn't resist at all. Even when he tried, it was useless against her claw-like grip. Her face closed onto his own and she stared at him from up close with an evil smile.
"Do you want me to refresh your memory?" She whispered in a devilish voice.
'How can she change her personality so fast…?' Wuxing asked himself, finding it quite fascinating. She turned from cold into cute then playful and back to cold before switching to scary.
"I'm good, thank you. I think I recall it clearly now." Wuxing replied with a calm smile, wanting to end it before Dongmei come in and find them in a questionable position.
"Good. Don't forget." She finally pulled away after his confirmation and glanced at the balcony. "They are coming inside. Let's settle the dishes."
He rubbed his wrists after she let go of him which only made her shrug, knowing what he wanted to ask.
Seeing Wuxing's back as he pushed the trolley, a single thought formed in Katherine mind.
'The more he says no, the more I want to tease him. Weird…'
