Shin walked out of Nathan's study room feeling a little dejected. "Sigh~. I feel special mission is going to be a drag."
"What's with the long face?" asked Arthur as he walked towards Shin.
Shin raised his head and looked at Arthur before saying. "Oh~! You are finally out?"
Arthur chuckled for a moment before replying. "At least, I am not like you who always stayed inside his room and played games aside from eating and doing some morning training."
The corner of Shin's mouth suddenly twitched the moment he heard that. Then he suddenly glared at Arthur before saying. "And whose fault do you think is that? You are the one that wants me to play this game, aren't you?"
"Alright, alright. I get you. Though, we are still different. You are only playing «Destiny's Fate» because I invited you. So, you are most like playing that game just for fun-…" said Arthur while putting his right arm around Shin's shoulder.
Then he continued with a prideful tone while tapping his chest with his other arm. "But I have a goal in mind. And that is where the difference of our strengths come from."
Hearing that, Shin suddenly looked at Arthur skeptically while asking. "And that goal is?"
Arthur looked at Shin with a sneering face while answering. "What else? Of course, it is to become the strongest player in the game. And once it happens, I am going to become the most famous player of the game!"
He paused for a moment before adding. "And that is when a lot of girls are going to fight for my attention."
Seeing that Arthur fell deeply inside his own fantasy, Shin couldn't help but shook his head helplessly while saying bitterly. "Yeah, yeah. What a great motivation to achieve your dreams."
After that, he patted Arthur's shoulder to bring him back to reality before saying. "But before that, we should start preparing for our current mission."
Then he started walking towards the room while saying, "Start packing your stuff since we are going to the military headquarters later. And while you are at it. Tell Leo and that new girl about it too."
"Tsk! Boring as always," muttered Arthur bitterly before shaking his head and releasing a helplessly sigh. "Sigh~, I still don't understand why a lot of good girls are chasing after this guy."
After that, he scratched the back of his head before walking back to his room while saying. "Hays~! I hope this mission can finally use your cool looks."
Few moments later, Shin met with Arthur, Leonard and Angela in their garage where a military vehicle was waiting.
"Tsk! We are not going to use our cars? This is not cool," complained Arthur the moment he realized that he still couldn't show off his car on the road.
Hearing that, Shin rolled his eyes at Arthur while saying. "What do you expect? You should know about the protocol already, so stop complaining about it and get inside. We are going to be later for our meeting."
Shin was about to enter the military vehicle when he suddenly noticed Lorraine standing beside Leonard and seemingly planning to join them. He looked at her and asked. "Why are you here?"
"I am tagging along!" replied by Lorraine almost instantly.
The corner of Shin's mouth suddenly twitched after hearing that and said. "Tagging along? Do you understand where we are going? Do you think we are going on a field trip or something?"
"Of course, I know! And don't be too doubtful. I already asked Uncle Nathan's permission about it!" said Lorraine full with confidence.
"Huh~!?" Shin blankly stared at her for a moment before turning head towards Leonard, asking what was going on. And when he saw the latter just shrugged his shoulders, he turned his back to Lorraine before asking. "You are fully aware how dangerous this is, right?"
Hearing that, Lorraine immediately nodded her head while saying with an even more confident tone. "Do you think I will come with you if I don't understand the consequences? I naturally know where you are going, so stop worrying too much about it and let me join!"
She paused for a moment to open her bag, taking a pair of pistols from it before showing to Shin. "What's more, I even brought my babies with me this time!"
From the looks of it, those pistols were a fully customized pair of guns which seemed to be specially created to deal against Martial-artist or even some Mentalist.
The corner of Shin's mouth suddenly twitched uncontrollably while thinking to himself. 'D*mn! I forgot that the Goldstein Family is a family of gunsmiths and are good gun handlers! They have a lot of strong gunslingers and snipers too.'
He then released a helpless sigh before turning his head at Leonard while giving him an eye signal, saying. – "You better keep an eye on her." –
Leonard wanted to complain about it, but when he took a look at Arthur who was now sitting comfortably on inside the military vehicle, he couldn't help but shake his head helplessly and understood why Shin was telling him that.
'Sigh~! It is really tiring to have a troublesome brother like that,' thought Leonard as he entered the vehicle after Lorraine.
After arriving at the military headquarters, the group immediately went to the conference room designated for their meeting before waiting for their other teammates.
"This is boring~! How much time are we going to wait before the others come?" said Arthur while lying on his seat lazily. Then he looked at Shin and asked. "How many more guys are we waiting for, anyway?"
"Two more from what I know," answered Shin after a brief moment of thought.
"They are from the Potter Clan from what I heard," added Leonard while leaning back on his seat.
"Potter Clan? Oh~! That Aristocrat Family? They are a family of Mentalists, right?" muttered Arthur as he rubbed the bottom of his chin. Then he suddenly remembered something before saying with a soft voice. "Now that I think about it, that junior brother of mine has that surname and he is a mentalist too.
Is it possible that he is really part of that clan?"
While he was thinking about that, the door of the room suddenly swung open followed by the entrance of a young man. "I guess I finally found it, Sis! I think this is the conference room."
This guy seemed to be the same age as Shin and the others, judging by his looks. He had curly and messy black hair while wearing an innocent look on his face. His body build was quite lean which made him look like a weak young man with a fragile physique.
The moment this newcomer entered, he immediately swept his gaze inside the room, trying to see who was inside the room. And when his sight landed at Arthur who was looking back at him with a slightly surprised face, he couldn't help but become a little shocked before becoming overjoyed.
He ran towards Arthur while saying excitedly. "Senior Brother! So, you are really from the Springfield Family of the military? I thought you were just sharing the same name."
Hearing that, Arthur couldn't help but clicked his tongue while saying. "Tsk! Do you really think that the name 'Springfield' is a common one? Of course, I am a legitimate member of that Family!"
At the same time, Shin and Leonard walked towards them with curious expressions on their faces.
Shin was currently squinting his eyes as he carefully observed the newcomer's face. He really felt that he saw this guy's face before, he just couldn't remember where and when he saw this guy.
Meanwhile, Leonard looked at the young man curiously while asking Arthur. "Who is he? Someone you know?"
Arthur looked at him and immediately said smilingly. "This guy? He is my Junior Brother!" while putting his arm around the newcomer's shoulder.
Hearing that, the newcomer immediately faced towards Shin and Leonard before bowing at them while introducing himself. "Hello! I am Molton Potter! Nice to meet you!"
This time, Shin finally remembered where he saw this guy and immediately reacted. "Ah! You are the 'Molton Potter! I watch your videos! Your contents are really good and helpful! I am a fan!" while shaking Molton's hand.
Molton was taken a little off-guard when he saw that. He didn't even know how to react to that. All he could do was to embarrassedly scratch the back of his head with his free hand while letting Shin shake the other.
At this moment, an unfamiliar female voice suddenly interrupted them, saying. "So, are we going to work with these immature guys?"
Hearing that, Shin, Arthur and Leonard simultaneously turned their heads at the owner of the voice and saw a very beautiful girl looking at them.
Shin and Leonard were currently raising their eyebrows as they seemed to be unsatisfied with what she said. Though, they didn't voice it out.
But they suddenly found it odd when they didn't hear Arthur say something. Usually, this guy was the one who always gave his rebuttals every time someone called him immature or something unpleasant to hear; it didn't even matter whether it was a girl or a boy.
Feeling that there was something odd going on, Shin and Leonard couldn't help but turn their heads at Arthur while knitting their eyebrows. And the moment they saw the stunned expression present on Arthur's face, they suddenly became even more confused.
Then the expression on their faces suddenly turned weird the moment they heard the words that left Arthur's mouth. "Brothers, wake me if I am dreaming. I think I am in love~!"
