After drinking the Ban Lan Gen, Gu Zhihan fetched her some fever-reducing medicine.
Half an hour later, Luo Mengmeng’s temperature had returned to normal.
Only then did Gu Zhihan let out a slight sigh of relief.
"I told you I just got cold last night, but you didn’t believe me," Luo Mengmeng said while making a face at him as she watched the TV drama.
"You mean so much to me, of course I’d get anxious if anything happened to you," Gu Zhihan replied as he tossed a piece of candy into her mouth and then sat down beside her on the sofa.
"You’re really sweet."
Luo Mengmeng, chewing on the candy, smiled and raised her hand to stroke her hair.
"Would you like a taste?" Gu Zhihan asked with a teasing smile, his large hands gently rubbing her waist.
"Taste?" Luo Mengmeng paused, not catching on, "How so?"
By the time she had finished asking, Luo Mengmeng realized what he meant, her fair face instantly flushing red as she pointed at him, "Pervert!"
Who would want to taste his mouth!
"Pervert?" Gu Zhihan chuckled, repeating the word, and the next second, he pinned her down on the sofa.
Luo Mengmeng, looking at his handsome face so close to hers, couldn’t help but swallow nervously, "What are you doing?"
"Of course, doing what a pervert ought to do."
As he spoke, Luo Mengmeng saw his handsome face coming closer to hers.
The next second, his lips captured hers.
His tongue aggressively explored, inch by inch, this beautiful fortress.
Luo Mengmeng, like a small cat pinned down by a large golden retriever, blushed fiercely.
The morning sunlight streamed in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, enveloping them both.
Gu Zhihan’s eyes were long and deep, black as ink, with a hint of starlight gleaming in the pupils, as if a meteor had fallen into them. His long lashes slightly drooped as he tenderly kissed her, his fingers hooked under her slightly pointed chin, the kissing soft as water.

Gu Zhihan’s smile was graceful, "Your fever has gone, you’re hardly a patient anymore."
"Still, you shouldn’t take advantage of me!" Luo Mengmeng continued dryly.
"Who says this is taking advantage? I am clearly loving you!" Gu Zhihan tapped her head.
"Don’t you like it when I treat you this way?"
As Gu Zhihan spoke, he bent down, his long fingers again lifting her chin.
"I... I..." Luo Mengmeng wanted to say she didn’t like it, but she couldn’t bring herself to voice such a lie.
In the end, the young girl, somewhat frustrated, stomped her foot. "Ah, I’m not talking to you anymore!"
Gu Zhihan watched her retreating back as she fled, and couldn’t help but smile broadly.
That night, Gu Zhihan gave Mengmeng another fever-reducing pill to prevent the fever from returning.
"Isn’t my fever already gone? Why do I still need to take medicine!" Luo Mengmeng looked at the fever pill in her palm with deep resentment.
