He knew full well that she was upset because she was worried about her high school exam results, and yet, at a time , he wanted her to have relations with him.

As long as the results haven’t arrived, she’ll be anxious and tense, let alone be in the mood for that sort of thing—even eating and drinking wouldn’t appeal to her.
