After taking the lamp, Gu Zhihan got busy.
Seeing this, the secretary immediately volunteered, "Do you need my help, Mr. Gu?"
"No need." Gu Zhihan refused.
He felt that only if he did this kind of thing himself would it seem more heartfelt.
"Okay." The secretary nodded, and just as he was about to leave, he heard Gu Zhihan say, "At six o’clock, take my car to Capital University to pick up my wife."
"Okay." The secretary nodded again.
So when Luo Mengmeng got into the car after school, she saw that the person driving wasn’t Gu Zhihan, but his new secretary.
"Eh, why is it you? Where is Gu Zhihan?" Mengmeng asked as she put down her backpack on her shoulder.
"Mr. Gu, he... he..." Remembering Gu Zhihan had instructed him to keep it a secret, the secretary had no choice but to lie, "Mr. Gu is at work so he couldn’t come to pick you up."
"Oh." Upon hearing this, Mengmeng’s mouth immediately puckered up, thinking to herself that all men were big liars.
He had promised her a meteor, but now he was at work!
She had been looking forward to it all day!
She decided she wouldn’t let him touch her for the next few days!
The secretary never imagined that a casual lie could nearly cause a rift between the young couple.
As the car arrived under the apartment building, Mengmeng instinctively looked up at her house.
What she saw, however, was darkness.
This made the young girl even more certain that Gu Zhihan wasn’t home.
She pouted, then huffed as she walked upstairs.
As she opened the door and was just about to turn on the light, dazzling silver meteors streaked across the bedroom.
Mengmeng instantly froze, unbelievably covering her mouth.
There were actually meteors inside her house!

But she soon realized they were all made up of lights.
Even though they were fake, they were unbearably beautiful.
Especially since the original furniture in the room had all been moved aside, and now the living room was only filled with flowers and a table set with candles and delicacies.
And Gu Zhihan stood not far away.
He was dressed in a hand-made, well-fitting black suit, exuding an imposing aura, stunningly handsome.
He strode over to the girl and extended his hand, "Don’t just stand there; come and eat."
"Oh... oh..." Mengmeng came back to her senses, quickly placing her small hand in his large one, and followed him into the living room that seemed like something out of a fairytale.
When they reached the dining table, Gu Zhihan released Mengmeng’s small hand, and like a gentleman, pulled out the chair for her while saying in a deep voice, "Sit."
Mengmeng complied and sat down.
It was only after sitting down that she realized the table was filled with her favorite delicacies.
The candles burned quietly, the wine glasses brimmed with red wine.
The surroundings were enveloped by meteors, beautiful as a fairyland.
"This is the most beautiful meteor I’ve ever seen!" Mengmeng couldn’t help but murmur.
Although these meteors weren’t real, Mengmeng felt perhaps they were even more beautiful than the real ones.
She shifted her gaze back to the man sitting opposite her, "You must have put in a lot of effort!"
"As long as you like it," Gu Zhihan mumbled, not mentioning how much effort he had put in, only showing her an indulgent smile.
At this, Mengmeng couldn’t help but bite her lip, her expression becoming even more touched as she lifted her wine glass and motioned to him, "Come, let’s toast to celebrate!"
