Childhood Sweethearts: He's Jealous Again! Chapter 691

Chapter 691: Chapter 691: Postnatal Care Center

Mengmeng stroked her chin, wracking her brain for ideas.

However, as a student of the sciences, she really wasn’t good at this sort of thing—coming up with names.

So, despite thinking for a long time, she couldn’t come up with one.

Gu Zhihan slightly lowered his head, looking at her puzzled expression, and the corners of his thin lips lifted into a faint smile.

“How about… we just name them Gu Big, Gu Second, and Gu Third!” Finally, Mengmeng blurted out the names she had thought of with great effort.

The corner of Gu Zhihan’s mouth twitched immediately.

“What’s wrong? Aren’t they good?” Mengmeng, seeing that he remained silent, couldn’t help but turn to glance at him, then started to list the advantages of the names, “You see, these three names are so concise and easy to distinguish!”

“Mm, they’re pretty good.”

In the end, Gu Zhihan nodded reluctantly against his better judgement.

“No, no, that seems a bit too hasty. Let’s give them more proper names, shall we?” Mengmeng suddenly spoke up, second-guessing herself.

Gu Zhihan, however, didn’t mind, “It’s just a name, I’m sure the babies won’t mind.”

After speaking, Gu Zhihan tucked in the corner of her blanket, “Alright, stop thinking about it. You should rest now. We’ll go to the postnatal care center this afternoon.”

Going to a professional postnatal care place would be better for the mother’s recovery.

“Postnatal care center?” Mengmeng touched her head, asking doubtfully, “Isn’t that place very expensive? Maybe we should forget about it and just go home.”

Sanbao was still in the neonatal intensive care unit and needed various imported medications; the daily cost started at no less than a hundred thousand. She was genuinely worried that they might deplete their family’s finances, leaving no money for the babies’ treatments later on.

But doing the postpartum recovery at home was a different story. Through the ages, many girls had recovered at home without any problems, so there really wasn’t much difference between going to a postnatal care center or staying home.

“No expense is too great for you,” Gu Zhihan refused her suggestion and comforted her, “Don’t worry about the money.”

This fool, why does she always think of him as poor?

And she’s always trying to save money for him.

Fortunately for Gu Zhihan, other CEOs didn’t overhear his complaints—if they had, they surely would have ended up vomiting blood in frustration, as their women nearly spent them into poverty.

In the afternoon, at the postnatal care center.

Mengmeng checked in with Dabao and Erbao.

Only after arriving did Mengmeng realize just how nice the conditions were.

Each mother had five professionals to accompany them.

One was a nutritionist, one a cleaner, one a baby nurse, one a psychologist, and the last a doctor.

Mengmeng silently mused to herself.

Yet the thought of the countless expenses made her feel that it was normal.

Recovering at this place was undeniably easy.

Getting dressed, eating, bathing—all were taken care of by someone else, and she didn’t have to worry about the babies’ crying or their other needs interrupting her rest, because there were specialized people and rooms to look after them.

But Mengmeng wasn’t happy.

Because her heart was always filled with concern for her third baby.

“Madam, this worry isn’t good for postpartum recovery,” the doctor entered, gently patting her shoulder and smiling tenderly at her.

Mengmeng’s face was filled with sorrow, “I know, but I just can’t cheer up.”

Her own child was in the intensive care unit, yet she spent her days living it up at the postnatal care center, unable even to go out and see him. Deep down, she felt immensely guilty.
