Where had Mengmeng gone?
His attempt to call her phone showed it was turned off.
Just as Gu Zhihan was about to report to the police, he received another call from Gu’s mother.
“Is something the matter?”
Gu Zhihan was already in a terrible mood because he couldn’t find Mengmeng, so his tone wasn’t very kind.
Gu’s mother spoke anxiously, “Gu Zhihan, this is bad, Sanbao is missing.”

An utterly dependent child who stayed in the hospital under the doctors’ care daily, how could he just mysteriously disappear?

You, for now, don’t tell Mengmeng about this, I’m afraid she won’t be able to handle it…”
Mengmeng was already in poor spirits because of Sanbao’s illness; if she found out the child was missing as well, there’s no telling how much more pain she would endure.
Mentioning Mengmeng, Gu Zhihan couldn’t help but raise his hand to cover his eyes, sighing, “Mengmeng is gone too…”
“Mengmeng is gone too?” Gu’s mother screamed upon hearing this, “This is too much, not only stealing a child but also taking the mother?”
Over the phone, Gu Zhihan didn’t know what had triggered him, but as if suddenly remembering something, he blurted out, “I have a suspicion now!”
“What suspicion?” Gu’s mother asked, puzzled.
But Gu Zhihan didn’t have time to explain, “I’ll talk about it when I reach the hospital.”
Having dropped this line, Gu Zhihan immediately drove to the hospital.
“What on earth do you suspect?” Once at the hospital, Gu’s mother couldn’t help but inquire.
Gu Zhihan headed straight for the security room, “I need to check the surveillance.”
“I’ve already reviewed the footage, Sanbao was taken by someone disguised as a doctor,” Gu’s mother said, thinking he wanted to see the same thing, and quickly informed him.
Gu Zhihan, however, shook his head and proceeded to the computer to pull up the surveillance, “I need to look for Mengmeng.”
“What? Could it be that Mengmeng came to the hospital?” Gu’s mother couldn’t help but pause.
Gu Zhihan had already found Mengmeng in the surveillance footage by this time.
She indeed had been to the hospital!
If his guess was correct, then she must have heard the conversation he had had with the team of experts in the morning…
To confirm his thought, Gu Zhihan immediately clenched the mouse more tightly, fast-forwarding relentlessly.
He finally stopped at the scene where Mengmeng was eavesdropping on their conversation with the expert team.

Gu’s mother was incredulous, “How do you know? Do you have evidence?”
